I love horror films but occasioally end up a bit freaked out

Jaws
The Birds - These dont freak me out but i always feel a bit on edge after watching them. Same as Jaws, some people say the shark or the birds look fake, but thats not the point, the way its shot is terrifying!

Psycho - Scary end image of Norma Bates in a straightjacket
It - Genuinely freaked me out for ages (up until the ending)
The Shining
Paranormal Activity - saw it a couple of weeks ago, really freaked me out! I can deal with serial killers and blood and gore but ghosts and paranormal stuff is scary!
The Wicker Man - the original one, thats just creepy!

When I was younger: The last house on the left

Recently: The Ring: that little long haired bitch just would not stop coming. I think about it every time I rent a flick....(ring, ring....ring ring...)

Oh geez, Ring - the Japanese version, same with the Grudge - those Japanese just don't play fair and totally freak me out

28 Days Later also stayed with me for a while...

It, but maybe more because I had read the book too...

I do have a thing about faces appearing at the window as well, so that tends to freak me a bit...

I found White Noise a bit freaky too, but I do have a thing about that too..

Agree about the Jaws thing, when the head falls down when he's trying to loosen the tooth from the ragged hole in the boat...

Nightmare on Elm Street had me pretty spooked at the time (yup, showing my age) as did Evil Dead - never saw the humour in it when I was a youngster!!

(oh yeah, and I'm about to go to my bed, so erm, thanks for putting that shit in my head... Some of you guys better be up for a chat when I can't sleep in a while!!!)

Candyman. I know.. I know.. It's probably not as scary as the other. But it's my first horror movie. Watched it when I was like umm.. 9 or 10yo I guess?! Anyway, that made me wondering if I want to call for him, and if he will come. I was young, tho it still affecting me til now.. hahaha...

And then the Japanese movies, The Ring, The Grudge, The Eye, Black Water.. Okay, I just hate horror, but intrigued to watch them.. =_="

Okay, can we make another post about most romantic movies or anything? xD

ok dumb idea to read this before going to bed, at 5am haha

Gorey/Slasher/Blood n Guts movies don't freak me out it's the ones that messes with your head that scares the bejesus out of me!! I watch psycho/ paranormal thrillers with as many pillows I can find, one eye barely open and the other completely closed and my hands over my eyes... the minute that stupid but very scary music starts, my eyes and ears are clamped shut.

Agreed with what most have said so far. But what about Chucky?! Watch that when I was like 5yo... didn't scare me then, but sure scares the shit out of me now.

Love Jaws, I like sharks... but still jump when the face pops out LOL

The only movie that has ever scared me was The Exorcist!!!! I was probably 7 or 8 when I watched it and I was scared shitless!!! I couldn't sleep for weeks, every time I closed my eyes all I saw was Reagan's scary demonic face.
