I was at school with Elon. He was an OK guy, quiet nerd basically, loved his chess. He left my school after getting beaten up. He has obviously done well. He's innovative and does invest in what initially considered "crazy" ideas. My opinion has turned due to his views, which he has the right of course, as is my right to disagree with. My overall opinion is he's ok, just wish all billionaires kept to business and not stick their nose into politics.

Isn't Musk buying votes for Trump and didn't his mother recently call for Americans to vote several times if they could get away with it?

Looks like 7 people in Michigan are being prosecuted for their part in trying to do just that in tha state's primary elections in August of this year. 4 voters and 3 election officials.

It's probably because of those wide tires. It was snowing at night when I was coming home from work when I saw a sports car in front of me having all kinds of difficulty climbing a hill (it wasn't even that steep). I passed by him with no difficulty at all in my little old Toyota with thin tires and I had to drive around him. The wider tires do not work very well in snow.

But it’s a large truck… like it should have 4 wheel drive. I don’t think the width of the tires has anything to do with it, but I don’t know. I mean snow tires are not thin…

You're right. After looking at it again, all 4 tires are moving. It should be able to handle that snow.

He's now claiming that he and his team of wunderkidz have discovered massive fraud inside the Social Security Administration - they are looking at databases which are mostly written in 1960/70's programming language called COBOL.

I'm not a programmer, but one of my past girfriends was proficient with COBOL and she was hired by a large financial institution in the mid 1990s to help their large team of COBOL programmers - translate and recode their databases of financial information before the computer world ENDED on January 1, 2000. Almost all of the Fortune 2000 companies in America and around the world were frenetic in the 1990s to rewrite their financial databases from COBOL to modern programing languages and to standardize their systems.

If you were born after the start of this millenium, chances are great that you have no idea what the huge impending threat to the world was - beginning in 1990 - when computer programmers around the world first raised the possibility to their corporate management about WHAT COULD POSSIBLY HAPPEN on New Years Eve 1999/2000.

Fortune 2000 companies literally spent tens of millions of dollars on manpower to transform their computer databases. Some didn't, most did. Apparently the government decided the cost was not worth the risk of not doing so. They turned out to be correct. The financial world did not crash during the first month of 2000.

Musk isn't finding any fraud anywhere inside the Federal Government - he's raiding the information to feed into HIS Artificial Intelligence Cloud model. He's setting himself and Trump up to begin draining the US Treasury at the expense of all Americans. He and Trump could give zero fux about anyone else.

I don't trust Elon or Trump. Both are narcissistic jerks. I find the fact that Elon has at least two black custom made MAGA hats laughable. Not to mention the fonts. He's a tool.

So many of the DOGE actions have been total bullshit. IE: canning all of those National Park Service people. I live 2.5 hours from Yosemite and go up several times a year just for the day to bike and hike. The park will be a mess without people to clean restrooms, empty trashcans, work in the facilities, etc etc... let alone rangers to collect entry car fees.

And the "tell me 5 things you did last week or get fired" email is another joke.
