A place to post conservatives being stupid as hell and spreading misinformation.
Like, look at what your grandparents are watching on TV.
They vote.
Well, there's this:
https://www.cnn.com/2023/07/10/politics/marine-corps-tuberville-nominations-hold/index.html
Yep, the a member of the party that claims to be the one that "supports our troops" is preventing the new commandant of the Marines from assuming his post because he is blocking all military appointments in protest over the Pentagon health plan's reproductive health policies. The only way around it is for the Senate to vote on every single military appointment individually, which Senate leaders are pointing out could take months.
And that's in spite of the fact that even his own party leaders are trying to clear the logjam.

Once again, we Canadians look at shit like this and wonder how you can structure a system such that one man with single-minded obstinacy can shut down an entire portion of the system.🙄
(Not that we don't have our problems, esp. when there's a "majority" government running roughshod over everything, but that's not the same as one guy apparently having the power to block hundreds of appointments)
A woman goes shopping in the local mall. But what the heck is she shopping for in that outfit? My Festive Flash comp entry.

There is a pattern of conservatives making fake accounts to boost their opinions online by agreeing with themselves.
Sometimes they make black profiles too to make it appear as if black people agree with them or to just simply make black people look bad.
They will also make accounts of liberals or women who suddenly get enlightened and will vote republican in an upcoming election.
It's not always easy to spot but sometimes they fuck it up like Ironic did here.
One of the oddest conservative behaviors is the focus on painting California as a terrible place to live.
For example conservatives like to say that California is experiencing a mass exodus when in reality the population drop is .03%. This drop comes after an increase in population every single year for a century.
There is a reason California is the 4th biggest economy in the world and the most populous state in the country.
Chicks are hotter too... An east coast/southern/midwest 10 is a California 6 at best.
This troubled young man below who lives on the east coast devotes a major chunk of his life reading about California trying to convince himself that it's a hellhole. San Diego is objectively one of the nicest cities to live in the entire United States. Just very odd and frankly, dumb behavior.
[Photo removed by moderator. A thread about bashing behaviors of conservatives is not an opportunity to bash members of the site, especially unprovoked. Sheesh.]
I wouldn't mind living in California, though the impact of climate change is reducing the appeal a bit (droughts, wildfires). My son might actually do so someday since he's a computer engineer in the chip industry, so I could at least have an excuse to visit regularly.

I love San Diego. Been there a few times for conferences and such. My wife's cousin (another engineer in the chip industry) lives in that area and seems to have no complaints.

Sometimes you just have to get lucky to spot them too. If there is a topic the pretender is passionate about, he will post with many or all of his accounts. I just happened to be on a thread where this was happening in real time. On that forum, you could see the members usernames at the bottom of the screen. One by one, the usual suspects started logging in and started posting like crazy. What are the odds that all these 'women' would be on this site at the exact same time, on the exact same thread, with the exact same opinions?
Another way they can be caught is if something happens in their personal life that keeps them away from their computers. This happened on that same forum. He had so many usernames, that the forum almost went dark when he and his 'women' suddenly quit posting. Then one day, he returned, and posted that he had been in the hospital. While most the posts after, expressed well wishes, one member made one memorable post. I can't remember the exact wording, but it was close to this: "Gee Mikee, sad to hear that. Hey, when you were in the hospital, did you happen to notice if (he named off several of the fake female members) were in the hospital as well? It seems they went missing the same time you did. I hope they're okay too."
Sad thing is, a site with proper proactive moderation could catch this behaviour easily by checking IPs of similar accounts. If they come from the same place or they are using VPNs/proxies, further investigation is warranted. Social media just seems to hate moderation, with Musk-era Twitter being simply the worst of the lot.

Many conservatives today are dumb because their parents and grandparents have been trying very hard and quite successfully - to shield their precious children from the horrors of yesteryear, in Junior High School and High School - the public school system has been getting attacked & hammered for 40 years.
Example #1: Ashamed to be Caucasian! https://www.rawstory.com/chapin-high-school-chapin-south-carolina/
A South Carolina school district halted classroom discussion of a book about racism after white students complained it made them "uncomfortable", The State reported.
Chapin High School students were scheduled to read Ta-Nehisi Coates' 2015 memoir “Between the World and Me.” According to the lesson plan released by teacher Mary Wood, students were asked to describe Coates’ "primary statement regarding identity and your position about his argument,” and to describe their "understanding of systemic racism,” and if why or why don't they think "racism is a pervasive problem in America."
But the project was cut short after some students expressed discomfort with two short videos, “The Unequal Opportunity Race” and “Systemic Racism Explained," that were played in class to prepare students for the book.
“Hearing (Wood’s) opinion and watching these videos made me feel uncomfortable,” one unidentified student wrote to a school board member. “I actually felt ashamed to be Caucasian... These videos portrayed an inaccurate description of life from past centuries that she is trying to resurface. I don’t feel as though it is right because these videos showed antiquated history. I understand in AP Lang, we are learning to develop an argument and have evidence to support it, yet this topic is too heavy to discuss.”
“I was incredibly uncomfortable throughout both videos, and was in shock that she would do something illegal like that,” another student wrote, adding, “I am pretty sure a teacher talking about systemic racism is illegal in South Carolina.”
As The State points out, South Carolina lawmakers passed a bill meant to combat "critical race theory" in the state's schools.
In a letter to district Superintendent Akil Ross and the school board, Wood defended the lesson plan, saying that "participation in this course depends on a level of maturity consistent with the age of high school students who have engaged in thoughtful analyses of a variety of texts."

Politicians do it too. Here is one replying to himself before switching accounts...
Funny, since that happens here on Lush in The Think Tank. 🤣
The guilty knows who they are. Actually, it's not a they. It's one person. And easy to guess who.
So, why is it nearly always conservatives that do that, and generally, easily out themselves?
Maybe stupidity is contagious in that group.

Could be desperation that makes them fuck up in the short term... Could be stupidity that eventually makes them fuck up in the long term.
Sad and sad.
Could be they are too broken down and out, physically to perform sexually. Can't get the old wood to move of it's own accord anymore. In order to gain similar orgasmic thrills - creating new online personnas and going catfishing - daily - is the best alternative they can think up with those GQP diseased brains.
But here at Lush, our perpetrator also proclaims he's one of those males who calls himself a Master. With his imaginary harem of subordinates all doing his bidding in his 'real life' as well as his 'alternate reality life'.
This person deserves more sympathy and pity than usual.
He's an asshole, but he's OUR Lush asshole!
That could be the answer for his appeal and magnetism?
A charismatic Master Bottom... I'd imagine that's rather difficult to pull off successfully.

White House Gives Special Recognition To Republicans Touting Infrastructure Fixes From Bill They Voted AgainstJust another Republican tactic. Vote against a bill which passes, then brag to constituents and anyone else who'll listen - how proud they are to support (whatever they officially opposed just a year or months - earlier).

Is that just a GOP tactic down there? Up here, it's politics as usual. Claim you're standing on principle until there's a possible electoral benefit for you.

James Comer opposed gambling in his state until pro-gambling groups started giving him money
Money, the ultimate lubricant (or laxative if you prefer a biological rather than mechanical metaphor) for getting things to move smoothly through the political machinery.

All the conservatives in the world attempted to downplay the insurrection...then they quickly deviated and blamed it all on ANTIFA operatives dressed to resemble MAGA...
https://www.rawstory.com/troy-nehls-ray-epps/
When that horseshit lie failed to gain momentum, they chose to sacrifice one of their own and have been beating that dead horse for 2 years now, accusing him of being an undercover FBI operative who stoked all of the outrage and violence and threats.
Now we're back to hearing conservatives ranting about adrenochrome harvesting and liberals drinking baby blood.
Former actor Jim Caviezel pushed a QAnon conspiracy theory that liberals drink the blood of infants ahead of a film screening with former President Donald Trump.
On Thursday, Caviezel told conservative podcast host Steve Bannon he had a message for Trump about the screening of "Sound of Freedom," a QAnon-linked movie scheduled to be screened at the former president's Bedminster golf club on July 19.
The film suggests global elites are involved in a massive sex-traffic conspiracy.
"I also want to say to Donald Trump, then when you watch this movie, you will be at peace and at rest because you, more than anyone, have done incredible things Jesus talks about, that you know faith without works is dead," Caviezel said before comparing Trump to the biblical figure David.
(It almost sounds as if Caviezel is advising Trump that if he watches this shitshow, he'll also die. What else could 'be at peace and at rest' possibly refer to?)
