So?
I agree. BTW I found the “peaceful” quote from Facebook appealing as well.

Actually this is an interesting point, recent studies have shown that men and women 18-29 are diverging on the political spectrum - men are trending more conservative and women more liberal and it’s getting wider. Men truly do feel persecuted. Movements like the 4B movement in South Korea are gaining traction.
It’s interesting, when women didn’t have representation we were told it was market driven but men today don’t accept that narrative. It’s almost like they knew the entire time it was absolute rubbish.
I'd say men knew no more than women did. Men and women grow up in the same cultures after all, and they are fed the same nonsense.

Yes and no. A lot of young males nowadays are fed a lot of mens rights poor me content by various algorithms on social media sites that young women are not. The outrageous culture war stuff gets clicks. The content creators know to tap into insecurities and they spout shit to make these guys feel like it’s the worlds fault they aren’t getting laid. Easier than blaming themselves.

I don’t know, my experience has been one of a patriarchal society where the marketing, content and social pressure for men and women is really different and quite rigid. I think your country may be a little more enlightened than most - certainly if you judge it by the stats.

No, things are very different for men and women for sure. But they all grow up in the same cultures where things were already (and probably even more) different for men and women. They both get taught from a young age the same patriarchal nonsense. What makes it different is that this nonsense means way more privileges for men than for women.
Just like teaching young girls that they are second class citizens will have a lasting impact on many of them, so does teaching young boys that women are second class citizens. Perhaps even more so, as they are probably less inclined to question it.
That's not to say that men can't help but try to keep the patriarchy intact. But doing so may have more to do with strongly held outdated and harmful believes than with ill intended conspiracies, which was kinda what I got from your earlier post and what triggered my initial response.
The fact that there are men that claim anti-male conspiracies may, in an ill doers are ill deemers fashion, suggest that there may indeed be some conspiracies. But for the most part I don't think that's the case. But then again, as a white middle aged man I might be part of any such conspiracy 😉
Anyway, both have the same shitty outcome unfortunately. But they might need different strategies to counter.
Edited.

It's not like each generation of men invent a patriarchal society again (which is kinda what I got from your earlier post, and what triggered my response). They inherit it, and most of them were taught that that's how it's supposed to be, just like many women were taught the same. And unfortunately many believe that to be true.
I think on reflection I phrased my original point poorly. I do think that the “market” narrative previously used to marginalise women and minorities was a convenient one and was absolutely indicative of the society we grew up in (it’s self-perpetuating to a large extent). I do think that a lot of the criticism from the red pill bros is also funny because they don’t accept that same simple market narrative. They fight for representation now because they feel they are losing something of value which was the minority debate the whole time.
It goes without saying that a rational person doesn’t think that way but this is hardly a rational thread.
Just want to add in Jardiance commercial, an overweight man with man boobs can work the copier until the woman (who sings through the commercial) plugs it in. In another ad, a young man is selling a car through his phone; his Grandmother tells him to use Carvana. Later in the ad, the grandmother needs help with a tech problem but tells her grandson she will ask his sister.

They hit you with the propaganda first... We are in the first step. They want you to not even see American men and how they are the most persecuted people on the entire planet so that it's easily accepted and cheered on when they are wiped out.
Seriously? A slippery-slope argument? Why is it that some members of the most privileged class on the entire planet get this childish persecution complex when we try to reduce their relative privilege just the teeniest little bit? Grow the fuck up.

ok. and...?
You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

Apparently you're missing the point that those commercials are supposed to be funny because they go against the stereotypes that are still very much mainstream. The latter making your whining just that.

Yours is one of the more intelligent comments. You are right; inclusivity doesn't need to be included in every commercial, but as there are different commercials (with the same style, you think they would put a man in some versions. There are other examples; in a Carvana ad, the woman is clearly hen-pecking her husband; in Expedia travel ads, it is almost always young women off having adventures; Spectrum ran an ad for a long where the man has picked the wrong cable company. In a PSA on Autism, a female voiceover depicts mostly women/girls struggling with Autism, although Autism is more common in boys. If a financial company depicts a shady (remember Schwab ads with "Carl") character, the shady character is a man. This list goes one.
Perhaps you're wasting your life away by watching too much television. I don't remember any of these commercials you mention.
