Quote by MeggsyI went to a public high school in the US. By a strange twist everyone there had to be at least 16 years of age. I ran track and was on the cross country and rifle team. Us jockettes... Well, we had a whole lot of Sapphic experiences together. Our favorite coach was truly supportive, bi-sexual and polyamorous. She never had a relationship with a student, and she did provide active cover for anyone who was in a consensual relationship.
I was a complete misfit in a boarding school for girls from far more affluent and social backgrounds than mine.
I was caught in bed with another girl and segregated. It had to be my fault as I was not a 'young lady'.
There was a teacher who it turns out was lesbian and the two of us formed a relationship which changed my whole life - for the better, fortunately.
I knew what I wanted. The school could not help me get what I wanted. I just needed the diploma.
To the boys who were years behind me developmentally I was a .
To the girls on the team I was a playmate-- athletically and sexually. And we often played rough.
To the more mature guys I hung out with at work I was a wanton slut who had them all wrapped around her finger.
To the guys and gals who could deal with me, and the facts of human biology, and set aside jealousy. Guys who could check their macho impulses... I became a lifelong companion echoing the words of the Apostle Paul in his letter to the Corinthians (9:19) "Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible."
Quote by GraceThe trick to getting into the small motors class was getting kicked out of home ec-- who knew that a whole skillet of cooking oil on high heat would burst into flame.
i wanted to take industrial arts but was told I had to take home ec. i left school at 15 and was an emancipated hippie.
I studied in a Science High School. A regular face in academic and varsity competitions as well as extra-curricular activities. School organ writer/editor (English and local language media), cyber geek, trivia girl, spelling ,orator, debate team member, impromptu speaker, essayist, volleyball libero, tennis player, cheerleader, long distance track & field, kick volleyball (sepak takraw) athlete, dancesports, choir, Citizen Army Training Officer, youth leader, etc. A trendsetter, too. Not all at the same time though.

I was the chick that helped out around school, ate in the teachers lounge and didn't carry a backpack because I would xerox all my homework.
I was always mistaken for a T.A. since my freshmen year.
I didn't fit in w/ the suppose misfits as they always snuck alcohol into school and I personally couldn't careless about that.
The ones that called themselves straightedge weren't straightedge at all.
The rest of the cliques were bland and loud.
I had a great high school experice as the teachers were as dramatic as my peers and for me that was comedy.
Oh, and the other few punks fell into crust punks and I didn't care for those.
I was that guy everyone agreed was most likely to one day be a poet or writer or designer.
My report cards typically came back stating "the exceptionally polite student is always mentally absent, and seems disoriented when called upon." Also, my exercise books were littered with little sketches of hovercrafts and mechanisms and cars where there should have been essays on ancient Rome or trigonometric calculations.
I got my first patent aged 13, and ended up becoming an industrial designer.
Long haired dork

I was that sporty, nerdy girl with wonky teeth, that loved technology and hung around with the boys playing football at lunch, because most of the girls picked on me and I was better at football than most of the boys.
Now I am that sporty, nerdy girl with great teeth and a job in technology that I love.
I wouldn't trade any of it now.

No one's gone for gossiper or drama queen...
FTR I went for misfit although there were elements of rebel in there. A friend to some of the boys and a sister to some of the girls, at least those that knew I dressed and played with make-up and like them ogled one or two of the boys.
Mostly I trod my own path and left when I could.
