The one I'm working through right now is 'Sweater Weather' by Bath & Body Works.

The scent includes sage, juniper berries, fresh woods and aromatic eucalyptus. Perfect for the beginning of fall weather.

I love candles so much but I have a horrible habit of burning them until the glass breaks. I picked up a bamboo electric diffuser and using lavender essential oil now. Once the water runs out, it shuts off. It does not have the same effect as a candle but for me it is so much safer lol.

I love essential oils too.

I used to use a water-based diffuser, but last year I discovered Nebulizers. It doesn't use water and breaks down the essential oil into very tiny particles using a pressurized air stream. It doesn't alter the chemical composition of the oil or require dilution with water, so it's a really nice pure way of diffusing an oil and the scent throw is incredible. I use my Nebulizer during yoga, at the studio or just when I want to clear the air.

Honestly, some of them kind of look like bongs, but I have the 'Raindrop' model by Organic Aromas (got it off Amazon) and I'm really happy with it. Super easy to clean too.

Ear candles. I had really awful tinnitus in one ear, and a Naturopath friend suggested candling.

For those that think it's a myth they work, I can assure you, they do. The amount of gunk that came out of the blocked ear, compared to the other, was double.

I normally burn tea lights which have no odour. The fragrant ones invariably smell artificial and chemically to me. I put a dozen or so around the small back deck when I have friends around for dinner and drinks. They create such a lovely atmosphere.

I had guests this evening and as it's still too mild for a fire I had a dozen candles (some scented, in various holders and of varying sizes) burning in the hearth for welcome and a feeling of warmth. It worked nicely.

In my classroom I have an apple shaped wax melter that uses the wax cubes (you can find at Walmart fairly cheap) and every day I put a new scent in. The kids enjoy the variety. Some of the current favorites are "Illusion" which does have a musky, male cologne scent, cinnamon and spice, honeysuckle, and "Mountain Twilight". At home I burn a mango coconut, rose, jasmine, and other flowery scents.

Dear God, is it based on the respiratory drug delivery system of the same name? It uses a similar principle. (the respiratory care company I work for sells and supports the medical Nebulizers)

Scented candles aren't my thing. I'm a bit sensitive to perfumes to start with so I'd need to find something fairly subtle if I did start using something that like that.

Same here, though I find the devices that release scents every couple of minutes to be even worse. I find them rather intrusive.

Hmm.. maybe? I'm not familiar with medical nebulizers, but here's the mechanics on how the aromatherapy one works:

From a landlord's POV, candles are a menace! They smoke up the corners of the ceilings (which are hard to paint over), and we've had residents from India burn shrines with candles to their elephant deity Ganesha, and set fire to one of our townhouses causing $40,000. damage. If you rent, don't burn! ...or get yourself some good renters insurance!
