To expand on Noll's answer, NL = abbreviation for Netherlands. Also, Google is your friend. I haven't heard of it myself. We have a Dutch friend (a physician who immigrated to Canada decades ago) but I believe he's from somewhere closer to Amsterdam.

Bingo! ;) I actually linked to the ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 list that defines the international two letter codes for countries in my previous post, so Google should not have been a necessity (too bad links are hardly distinguishable here n the forums though).
Anyway, it's a municipality made up of a few villages. And the chance that someone is from somewhere closer to Amsterdam is quite big as most big cities are way closer to Amsterdam.

Montreal born and raised.

I've lived in Montreal all of my life and both of my parents grew up on Saint-Catherine Street (ie. the most prominent street of Montreal).

I guess that culturally makes me a Montrealer to the fucking core.

I love Savannah (except when the sand gnats are biting), but it is one of my favorite places.

During our summer months in New Orleans, LA, USA, our temps are usually in the mid to upper 90s F, actual temp. We very seldom get into the 100s actual temp. Our heat index (feels like) will get into the 100s. What makes it worst is the humidity is also in the 90s.
