What, no Canada? Was fortunate enough to live there for over 8 years and would return in a heartbeat. As for my vote, it went to Norway, lived there for a while when I was a kid too. Do you see a pattern emerging? Yes, I love countries with long winters!

Not every place, even in New Zealand, ist going to appeal to someone who thinks they would like it as a second home.
Specific cities, township would have been nice choices.

My 2 favorites aren't listed, Amsterdam, Netherlands und Bahia Beach, Chile,
but I'm sure I could quickly research a few cities from your list for what I like.

So to choose from the 6 places on this listing that ist worthy such recognition I think.
A couple of them I haven't visited yet such as New Zealand or Greece may be nice for a second home.

But I've been all over Austria und have friends there. Sooo...

Since I have not travelled much I would say France. Better weather and a more relaxed life style. Then theres the wine and great cheese/french bread.
