Where is everyone?
I would have thought with so many cities being on lockdown that a lot of people would be home from work, not working, or just bored out of their mind and would be spending more time at Lush. It seems as if the opposite is true and there appear to be less people here every day, than there used to be.
Are you spending less time here than before the Virus and if so, why, if you can tell us?
I can only get online while I'm at work since I've been flooded out of my home, and I'm busier at work than usual trying to get 20 other families back into their flooded homes, so it'll be awhile before I'm back on Lush as often as I used to be.
I too am at work at a hospital so we are actively dealing with virus positive patients now
I am working from home but things are hopping so not exactly full of available time. We are in home respiratory care so are, or will be, dealing with Covid patients at some point. I am probably on Lush more now than I have been in a while, though.
We've not noticed a discernible increase in traffic as I'd expected.
As a few have touched upon, it might be more difficult for people at home to connect here, with other family members around a lot more (who may have gone out working / socialising ordinarily).

There has been less peeps frequenting the Lush chat rooms und the forum for about the past 2 years now.
We used to have about 300 peeps in the chat rooms almost every day, with more member rooms open then,
und the rooms most always full that you could hardly get in them, from 2014 to the end of 2017.
I was here almost every day, often most of the day, for those 3 years, as well much of 2018-2019.
This ist not a new thing und possibly a natural cycle of horniness...giggles,
but yes I think you're correct, the pandemic has seemingly affected attendance even more during 2020.
Many are possibly dealing with family und other necessity the same as us.
We've been bringing in the last of the hay preparing to close our farm to the outside world as all others have here.
Maybe go riding with Pepper in abit to check the west fence before it ist too dark.
Makes perfect sense that people are less likely to sign in when everyone is home - kids and spouses likely to run into the room at any moment.
Still working at a TV news studio trying to keep everone updated. London is deserted it is very weird. People are finally getting distancing and the panic buying apperars to have stopped. The supermarkets have got controlled queues that work. The pictures we put to air are surreal, helicopter shots of Heathrow & Gatwick airports with row after row of parked aircraft. The outpouring of love and support for our beloved NHS is wonderful to watch. The downside is that frontine workers are taking a hammering. We have more dark days ahead. My thoughts are with my friends in the USA and NY in particular.
I’m a nurse working nights and extremely busy. When I get home I’m attending online classes four mornings a week and then I sleep for 5-6 hours and start all over again. I’d love to spend more time with my friends here but I just don’t have that time. Like now I’m on a break and it’s over. Stay home and stay safe, please.

Logging into lush while you suffer from boredom is really rude.
Other's are married, have live in partners or are parents so children get in the way of alone time.
I would like to think the slowdown is because, with both partners at home all the time now, they are busy getting to know each other again and fucking.
Try to telework from home - with varying degrees of success as my presence here in Lush testifies to. House quarantine sucks even if it is necessary. My routine is totally out the of whack right now. Trying to establish some semblance of order, but hard being housebound all the time and desperately wanting to enjoy the outdoors and people again.
May I add a few other possibilities that can break privacy. They spend time taking more careful care of themselves: washing hands, taking more showers, having children or friends come by with their groceries, or going to on line ordering services, have to drive to get the food at a pick up time, then before bringing the food indoors, dressing as best they can, they spray and wipe the food packaging down. It may be that they have another person who cares about them do that for them.
We must also recognize that this thing may have hit our own members.
I use a service that tells me what capacity my internet connection(s) have, and what percentage of it is being used at any specific time. I can tell you that the use of the internet at key times, is being used a lot.
Many people are using their time productively in other ways: perhaps tending to their garden, or finally getting some things organized, or catching up on back episodes of shows they have missed. I am enjoying the MLB and NBA channels to watch past series, and great games they put on. It could be watching those gazillion movies
they have not been able to see, etc.
I am sure that all this "home time" has given people so many more occasions to broaden their horizons.
So let's not think that it is ONLY to keep Lush from prying eyes, but also notice how magnetic to the eyes this place is!
May I ask, are some "functions" of the site getting more viewership than they used to?
Let's keep an open mind to understand all of the reasons for lower attendance in Chat rooms.
I've been on less because my husbands been home
and I've been spending time with him, as we typically only see each other for more than a few minutes twice a week its been really nice having him around.
Its also been really nice outside so I've been spending my isolation time in the woods and my yard.
Happy to hear that most of you are coping well and making the best of a tough situation. Nic...that was quite the honorable thing you did.....Wild Irish Rose....thank you for your dedication to your craft and your taking care of people during these trying times.
Here is hoping that our shelter in place will be over soon and we can get back to having some privacy and getting back to Lush as often as we used to.

I don't think I was on Lush until the pandemic, so I have no baseline.
I've been furloughed, but my partner is working at home. We're both in Nor Cal at my parents place for quarantine... we almost were going to go back to Los Angeles though. Almost.
