What should I have with Jack Daniels Rye?

I have always been a Jameson's guy and enjoy it neat, moistening the lips and relishing the sweet burning sensation, or with just one block on a standard double tot. I am not averse to a Jack with a rock either but mostly my Jameson's. Recently I was gifted a bottle of Jack Daniels Rye and what a TASTE! Just a block of ice and it was as good as it could get. But, I would like to know; what is the traditional/ best mixer with Jack Rye?

Using Rye in a Manhattan is very good. Rye is getting popular again so try some other brands. JD is ok, but try High West or WhistlePig. Both are readily available and good mixed or straight. (from a bartender) smile
