It's too hard to pick just one; or wait what kind of movies are you talking about..? I'm not falling for that again..!
I'll take a guess and suppose that the question actually means what is my favorite non-porn/adult movie.

For some unknown reason, one of my favorite movies is still "The Last of the Mohicans" with Daniel Day-Lewis and Madeleine Stowe.
"I can resist everything except temptation." - Oscar Wilde
that's an awesome movie!
My fave is still "Young poisoners handbook."

If we are talking about more adult movies the only one that got its name stuck in my head untill this day is "Pirates."
Poor boyfriend at the time had to watch the whole movie without fastwinding. *snicker* I liked it.
That's not a bad one Cat. I have my own copy (and I didn't mean the Poisoners Handbook LOL)

Good choice, fystee! I don't know how many times I've seen that movie. Jude Law does a great job as the narrator. I LOVE his voice.

All the Indiana Jones movies
Star Trek all of them
Patton
Most any John Wayne movie
And all the Rambo movies
Oh yeah can't forget Rocky all but the fifth one.

Animation: Jimmy Neutron

LMAO! Never would have thought that! My son was a Jimmy Neutron fanatic for a long time! His room is a Jimmy Neutron nightmare.....lol!
Favorite children's movie - it's a tie between two:

Labyrinth - Creative, clever, funny, and with a wonderful message that sneaks up on you rather than hitting you over the head. Plus David Bowie.

Fly Away Home - A wonderful adventure story with something to say about loss and growing up, all shot on an achingly beautiful backdrop. The kind of movie that Disney wishes it could make.
Jimmy is a cool cat. He tries and tries, and has that girl giving him shit all the time.
Some can be in a few categories but here's my list:

Action: Goldeneye
Adventure: Blood Diamond
Animation: Madagascar 2
Biography: The Queen.. Hellen Mirren was Fantastic!
Comedy: Tommy Boy
Children's: Sword in the Stone
Crime: Double Jeopardy
Drama: The Shawshank Redemption
Horror: Texas Chainsaw Massacre (orignal although the first remake wasnt bad)
Sci-Fi: Pitch Black
Thriller: Hannibal (I love Silence of the Lambs too)
War: We Were Soldiers
Mystery: Bone Collector
Romance: Love Actually
Also add the movie that made me cry: We Were Soldiers

least favorite movie category:

Most Overrated Movie That Didn't Live up to the Hype: The New World... it was Colin Ferrell looking "emo" for 45 minutes and then shots of trees for another 90 minutes. Terrible movie!
Nice surprise: Sweeney Todd (it took me a bit to realize I kind of liked the movie)
Laissez les bons temps rouler!

Awwwww, come on! "The Sound of Music"? "My Fair Lady"? "The King and I"? R&S knew their sh*t!

But I must say that my favorites do come in different categories, with "The Hunt for Red October" and "Beauty and the Beast" heading up the lists. Other than that, I would say that *most* of the movies based on Tom Clancy's books were utter disappointments because of everything they changed.

One book-turned-movie that was a surprise was "Forrest Gump". If you haven't read the book, it is VASTLY different from the movie, but the movie doesn't disappoint regardless.

And that's all I have to say about that...

Aw well, can't win them all.

At least it's not "High School Musical"! How they can even think to compare themselves is beyond me. I would be of your mindset if any of those three came near my TV!

Ling
my fair lady did that in high school

the new startrek is good
