Thank you for confirming we did the right thing in walking out. I was told it was about cyber-bullying and I thought it was like a documentary like the movie Bully or Waiting for Superman. Sadly it wasn't even close.

It is about cyber-bullying, just done in the utmost stupidest of ways. Not to mention the acting was utterly horrible. There was nothing good about this movie.

The Time Traveler's Wife

Basically a how-to manual for boring the fuck out of your audience: About 20 minutes into the movie, give away the ending (the time traveler dies), then make them spend the remaining hour and half sitting around in the dark waiting for it to happen.

Don't believe everything that you read.

Agree.

And I'd like to add...
Ash Wednesday
Happy-Go-Lucky - the "cheery, colorful" (IMDb) Poppy was absolutely annoying

Mama Mia!!
Although technically I didn't see it as I couldn't bear more than twenty minutes of this utter, untalented drivel. I honestly cannot see what on earth anyone likes about it!

I could not endure the entire movie....nor could my dog.

So many bad movies,

Rocky IV and so on

Superman III and so on

Jaws: The Revenge

Mama Mia

Waterworld

Gigli

Ishtar

are a few that come to mind.

As for the person who said Plan 9 From Outer Space, it is one of those movie that is good because it was so bad!

For me, it has to be The Human Centipede 2.

It premièred on the Horror channel a couple of months ago, and I can honestly say it was awful beyond belief. It was comical, highly unsettling and damn-right dreadful, all at the same time.

There's a scene in "The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas" which isn't in the (children's) book... (So, fucking TALENTED DIRECTOR!!!)

It's about THIS BOY whose DAD is the commandant of Auschwitz/Birkenau...

His OLDER SISTER decides that as a NAZI GIRL she's going to PUT ASIDE her dolls because she's too grown up for DOLLS!!!

(Later in the movie, the little boy goes SEARCHING for something he has lost... He opens a CUPBOARD, and inside, are the naked bodies of his sisters dozens of discarded dolls...) It's one of the most shocking scenes I've ever seen...) The CHILD of course doesn't get the reference. (WE DO!!!!)

THAT'S HOW YOU DO IT!!!!

I LIKE Roberto Bennini as an actor. ('Life Is Beautiful' is a FUCKING CRIME as a film.)

xx SF

(I STRESS again most people VEHEMENTLY disagree with me!!!)

This is good to know (the scene you have mentioned) as my 7th graders are reading The Boy in the Striped Pajamas next quarter and since many of my kids have seen this film, they will ask about this scene.

In an interview, the author admitted that he wished he had stitched the story together as well as the screenwriter. I read the book first and found that this was a rare occasion where the film is indeed better than the book.
I loved the film, I didn't love the book.

Interesting... I just might try to show the movie in my room after all. I've been told our history department shows it which is why we (the reading teachers) teach the book. I'd be interested to learn if my students share your opinion that the movie is better than the book.

Caligula, without a doubt. How anyone could take that much talent, add beautiful women, nudity and sex, try to add violence and shock value, and still produce such a monumental bore is beyond me.
I'd have to give a close second to "A Clockwork Orange". Maybe I just don't care for Malcolm McDowell.
