Very interesting, thanks for posting the fact sheet. I've been in a few strip clubs, curious to see what goes on. The noble winning physicist Richard Feynman drew nudes for a hobby in a strip club near the campus of California Tech. I think all kinds of people go to them, not just the trench coat crowd.
I am not surprised that opera, ballet, jazz and classical concerts combined audiences are less than the number of patrons of strip clubs. Sex is a physiological need thus very compelling. Now we can debate how much but the sexual need can be placed in the same category as food, shelter, air, sleep and water, at least according to Maslow. Strip clubs fill a need. On the other hand cultural elements are for the most part optional.
Great post. The Geek in me really appreciates this post for the data.
The libertarian in me takes solace that the median wage is so much higher than I thought.
The conservative in me is appalled at the neglect of the arts.
The testosterone in me is pissed that I have never been to one of these clubs (yet?)

Interesting facts. I'm guessing the pay is less during menstruation because you wouldn't work a full shift. Correct?
