twice in my career I was turned down for jobs, as I was discriminated against because I was not a woman of color, even though i was far more qualified for the position than the person that got the job, and yes, if you watch any TV these days, there are always people of color in them....even people of color, playing parts of white people, such as the King in the Broadway play Frozen, which takes place in Norway.....
you want to be my equal, you have to act like my equal and not receive special treatment that I am not able to receive as well......

I got turned down for a job once, as it went to a woman who was less qualified than me. Perhaps I was discriminated against for being a man... or perhaps they took into account that the other applicant had worked harder than me to get into what's still a very male-dominated field. Or perhaps the one woman on the interview panel who knew me discriminated against me for being an arsehole (I was younger then, and would like to claim I've changed a bit since then)? But it's hard to know exactly why they rejected me...
But I'll definitely agree that you have a long way to go with racial equality in your country... as we do in mine.
