I think it really all depends on mood, place and time.
Not really into quickies and I agree with Van about building it up. I like kissing and touching it makes it more enjoyable.
The proper duration is whatever the heck you feel like at the time. Quickie or marathon it's all good! Remember lots of toys can extend that hot session.

Usually me and whoever i am with at the time take between 45-60 mins but if i'm in a long term relationship which we usually branch off from i can last between 60-300 mins thats with forplay and other details i won't go into included.

I have never put a time limit on love maing or fucing, it is not over util the woman is 100% satisfied, if it's 20 minutes or 20 hours..... If you have to wonder how quic is too quick or how long is too long then you are not all that into it.
