Patsy Cline - I've always wondered what she would have sounded like had she outlived the "Nashville Sound" period of country/western music.
Nina Simone and Charlie Parker.
Someone else said it already, but the artist I think of as the best ever....Freddie Mercury.
Gram Parsons. He was taken from us much much too soon.
Jim Croce
Elvis

John Lennon
John Lennon
Freddie Mercury

I'd prevent the plane crash that killed Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and The Big Bopper. I'm convinced that had they not died so soon that they would have gone on to make music that would have overshadowed most of the artists of the 60s. After all, seeing Buddy Holly in concert was the direct inspiration for Bob Dylan learning how to play guitar and The Beatles partly chose their name as a tribute to Holly's band, The Crickets. It's crazy to think what else those three could have inspired.
I can’t think of a good tagline so this will have to do. Suggest a better one for me?
It's a toss up between Stevie Ray Vaughn and Johnny Cash. And David Bowie. And Freddie.
Shit, why do people ask such hard questions?
Freddy mercury - a great loss
