It depends who you mean by partner. My ex would never, ever understand and she will never know about my writing or online life. Think "old skool".
On the other hand, Tech knows and appreciates my writing. She's always the first to get the latest story. The "Find Me" story was written after we discussed how much fun it would be to play a game of hide and seek. However, I change characters in each story so my characterization of a woman in the stories may or may not be about her.
In fact, I sometimes write private stories just for her.
"Find Me" was a fun story baby! It was just another example of how much we think alike!

i have always been very open about letting people know about my writing. sometimes i even ask them to give something a read so i can get someone else's POV/take on it. of course, with them being either family or friends, it can be hard to get an "honest" critique (and by that i mean one that may "hurt my feelings") out of them. that is the main reason i decided to start posting my work here (and on another site with a similar LITerary view on EROTICA.) the response i have received over the past two years has been both informative and very positive and i REALLY appreciate everyone who has taken the time to read, vote, and post comments----although more comments would be even better as that particular feedback is the most helpful. a friend of mine is trying to set up an e-book website that would have BOOK length stories available for sale (and providing the authors what he says is a "nice royalty rate"). he has not provided me with very many of the specifics but he said he is going to be looking for some authors soon.

my answer is "Yes, most people I know know about my writing." of course, not all of them approve of my subject material and suggest that, since i love writing fantasy, i try writing a "real" book (i.e.: NON-erotic.)

If I had a man in my life, I think he would approve of my stories. Then again, I live with a very controlling roomie that doesn't know about them and he doesn't need to know, either. I usually share my stories with my friends and they're big fans of them. One girl's try9ing to convince me to do a site to show off all of my stories.

Hubby knows, appreciates my creative outlet, but does have veto or editorial power over the real ones. After reading one of my earlier ones he looked up and said, "Raunchy mind you have there, care to show just HOW raunchy you can be?" So I did. THAT story might not make it past the editor....we both come off as rather sleazy....

Actually yes she does...my wife and I have a joint profile and both submit stories together...most of them are based on events that have actually happened between us, and some are fantasy. We turn to each other for inspiration and for spell checking, and what great fun it is!!!!
