I decorated my wall by the bed with candy canes.
I listened to "Oh, holy night!"
I ate a gingerbread cookie.
I drank Glögg. (spiced warm wine)

Now I want more things to inspire me for the upcoming holiday.

I think the radio stations are broadcasting Christmas music already? Wow, it's not even Thanksgiving yet! My family and I aren't particularly religious, but we like to think of this as "family time" and such. After my dad yelling at my sister and I because we aren't decorating the tree to his specifications, my mother telling him to stop being such a jackass, and my sister and I bickering because of said jackassery, we like to turn off the lights with some hot chocolate (which they always ask me to make!!!) and relax around the tree and put on Kenny G's Christmas album. Then everything is calm.

Be fair, we don't have thanks giving in Sweden. Between the spooky end of october and December there's only darkness and darkness untill we get to light up our windows the first weekend in december. It's not fair. *cry*
(to be honest we have Lucia the 13th of december, but it's all christmasy anyhow.)

But if on christmas this person was standing singing "Oh, catnip! Oh Catnip Divine!" outside my window wearing only some tinder... in kneehigh snow.
I think I'd open my window so he could climb up the fire escape ladder.

The season always seems to start a week ealier every year. Maybe we would get to a point where we would not even bother to take them down because they will start the season after new years.
