Why has no-one replied to this I think it's a great forum post. Personally I seem to have a switch in my head that flicks on at around 11pm and suddenly I can write so much. During the day i spend a lot of time resting as I have a back condition and in all the time I never seem to achieve the writing I do in the evening.
I know this is an old post by someone who does not have a lush membership but are there others out there that have writing rituals like this?
My imagination is my main aphrodisiac!
Oddly, I find it easiest to write in the morning, when my mind is more alert (usually!)
I like a coffee and a biscuit to keep me going, but it's true that I usually play with myself when I'm writing the sex scenes, and this certainly helps!
Alcohol just sends me to sleep...

I don't have a particular time. However I often wake up with stories in my head, so I will generally try to write them down as soon as possible.
Whenever my muse pokes me in the ribs, that's when I do it. I have to admit though, a good stoning can lead to some ideas because it takes me out of my own head, so I guess you could call that an aphrodisiac. I do tend to feel more inspired at night but also on buses on long journeys, my mind just wanders and I find myself just sitting there with my phone out, jotting down drafts or just silly wee ideas that I think might work.
i must say its my ring. its weird, i know but staring at helps a lot.
If I've drawn a person I look at the picture and base the character and the story on that
I can only write well when a muse strikes me: non-fiction, fame and money; fiction, love.
When I write, it's usually with a cup of hot tea and my faithful dog at my side.
I usually write late at night. My stories tend to be part experiences and part embellishment. Remebering past experiencrs always make me horny and i usually have to stop at least once for a wank.
It doesn't matter to me if it is day, or night. I write best when I feel alive. Sometimes my writing is prolific when I am aroused. Other times I write best when I feel strong and alert. Still other times when my wife and I live out a fantasy. The writer's mind becomes creative by a myriad of different stimuli.
Like some others have commented, My warped, twisted imagination is all the "aphrodisiac" I need to write. I get inspiration from everywhere and quite often I spend the whole night developing a story in My head so that I don't sleep and have to write it all down when I first get up so I don't forget it!
It can be a pain sometimes but I normally have at least a couple stories rumbling around in My head!
I don't think I have a specific thing that makes me want to write. Maybe I'm not much of a writer :P Inspiration is definitely not lacking but I think I have to be in a certain mood to write. And when I do its for hours at a time and when I'm feeling confident enough in my writing. I usually write late at night; I'm a bit of a night owl, but for some reason that's when my brain decides it wants to function properly and keep me awake :P I usually drink different blends of tea while I write, or apple juice. lol!
I write when I feel right ideas can pop in my head at anytime though same with titles.
It seems I'm more inspired when I'm sex deprived but like hell I'm committing to that just to spur my writing on. LOL. In have a few things that get me going to write if I'm not in the mind frame - a few pics I really like, a porn that has a good soundtrack, and some songs on a playlist I have for such a purpose.
Oh and music! I love good music to go with my writing. A little touching around (discreet language haha) might be needed if i have a good imagination for my characters
