What else it is if it is not porn ?
I would say, it is a porn site - but what is the issue with that?
It is also erotic, adult, sexy, teasing, stimulating,... but I don't see anything bad in there.
In fact, that is why I like Lushsmile
Not really..... I came for the stories and later on lost in the galaxy of friends I made.... I think Lush has evolved into a community now where you are introduced to people (especially authors) with an opportunity to explore mutual sexual interests and enables you to create and share your thoughts in the form of adult content.... so calling it a porn site may not be appropriate smile
I think the word "porn" is an overworked noun used for anything sexual and generally in a derogatory manner mainly by the media. "Lush" is a freedom of speech website
Lush is whatever each member wants to use it for....for me its so much more than that its not fair to even compare it to porn....
I do not view it as a porn site, it is a sex site with some graphic pictures. But for those that use the site we know it more as a communication tool with adults
I think that Lush is a liberating site for those who enjoy discussing, watching and writing graphically about adult sex. Porn is just a generic word for it.
If Lush was a movie, what would it be rated? X. As Bill Shakespeare said, "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet." That is Romeo and Juliet. Folks love to pigeonhole everything. We can accept that pigeonhole or we can just look at them and say "FUCK YOU" at the top of our lungs.
... wouldn't it be wonderful ???? ... an inhouse Nina Hartley Category ... and maybe a few others...
No it's not a porn site.
It is a community where people can talk to each other, be open about their life, with out being judged.
Find new things to think about.
It is one big happy family
Absolutely not a porn site. It's not only has a great variety of sexy stories and poems but you can engage with the authors that wrote them. It's a wonderful site.
No I feel Lush is a social site.
I joined Lush for erotic stories and subsequently made some very good friends... so I think Lush is a community where we meet people including some wonderful authors and gets an opportunity to explore sex... so call it a porn site or something else, I wont mind... I'm just loving it smile
It is what you what you make it. I enjoy the bells and whistles and here to write. However, I do like to hook up conversationally with other writers.
I find Lush to be a site for consenting Adults and not necessarily pornographic.
I describe it as an erotic literature site with an adult forum which to some is sufficient for it to be a porn site. I personally wouldn't call it a porn site but it is a site that contains porn. For example, Tumblr contains quite a bit of porn but I wouldn't call that a porn site.

For me, it needs to offer nothing beyond porn for it to be called such a site (e.g. Porn Hub) and even then I would make a distinction from text-based erotica and the visual media of it.

I can’t think of a good tagline so this will have to do. Suggest a better one for me?

The word "porn" seems to carry an unfavorable connotation. It's just a word though. Call it something nice if you like but there is certainly porn here. I agree that is not ALL it is though.

Definition of pornography
1 : the depiction of erotic behavior (as in pictures or writing) intended to cause sexual excitement
2 : material (such as books or a photograph) that depicts erotic behavior and is intended to cause sexual excitement
3 : the depiction of acts in a sensational manner so as to arouse a quick intense emotional reaction
There's a lot of porn on lush, but the other items, areas and helpful threads out weigh the porn.
No.
No. It's a social site where people can be their selves
It does require a jiggling of my Startpage settings in order for it to be found. By that criteria, yes.
It's a Rorschach test. It's whatever you want it to be. Porn, writing, dating, social, political, chat, cyber. It's all here. You see what you wanna see.

I have only been on Lush a few months and I have not seen anything to cause me to call Lush a Porn Site. It does include sex and nudity, along with lust and sexual desire. But it also includes a lot of other things to discuss and consider.

Yes, a Sex Site but not a Porn Site for sure.
When I came here Lush was a site primarily for erotic literature where I could post my stories and read those written by others.
Now it has a pornographic video tube, Live cams and unsavoury genres so, yes, Lush is now very much a porn site. The only difference from other full porn sites is that the stories are still the core product rather than an off-shoot... but for how long?
WooHoo!!!! 27,000 views! Could I dare to hope for a famous story...

I do not but I think for others, yes. I use it for sexual stimulation and commenting, and attempted socializing and reading and viewing pleasure. But, I consider the core to be a forum for personal exhibiting of our sexual freedoms and photos and stories.

Lush is like a library. Different books(people) and many chapters.
