Based on the results of seemingly innocent searches I think the Internet is a porn site, at least Lush has some controls...
Sites like Lush are porn for the mind. Though, in the overall realm of quality, Lush is at the top of the list (IMHO). We are blessed with live human mods who read over our stories and either do some minor editing for the Goldies, or inform us of our shortcomings on our pieces and ways to fix it. Lush has also created a community of readers and authors in ways that few other sites even try to offer.
Yes, it is a porn site... and a damn classy on at that. It's not perfect (though nothing is) but it is really great!
I am away from home and using a cloud internet access provider. It won't let me look at a voyeur site that I visit regularly as well as other more obviously pornographic sites, but Lush is allowed, so it is definitely not seen as a porn site. Interestingly the mobile site is considered to be a porn site by the net nannies.
As of today, about 300,000 lush members have 36,698 porn stories to read, shared 288,247 pornographic images, made 162,545 mostly sex related blog posts, written 2,269,466 forum posts and posted approximately over one million mostly pornographic pics on their pages, friend's pages etc !!! So ???
I think it's much better than that...explicit but intelligent.
I see it as a venue for open minded persons to talk and discuss sex intelligently.
Lush is an explicit site for stories, contents are erotic mindful but it is decent rather than many other sites there. Bravo Lush!
I think there are aspects of Lush that are clearly "porn" but they are either accessible or avoidable, depending upon what you want, and therein lies its beauty.
I think a person can make Lush what they want to make it. If you want a porn site, it is very easy to make it one, with what you do, where you hang out, your post, many things. But yet the other hand you can make it a site to enjoy your friends, post some clean sensual post and make it a fun site to enjoy. I think Lush offers you that opportunity. So my answer.. Lush is what YOU make it.
Where is the porn? In my view porn has moved on from the pictures that were available in magazines and on websites many years ago. Its now all about videos with audios that are anything from a few minutes (my style .. wham bam sort of guy) to an hour plus. You wont find those here .. we have erotic stories .. forums ranging from a Think Tank to Hardcore images .. Chat rooms which are diverse and groups which again are very much the latter.
It's whatever you want it to be. It's a porn/erotica/writing/story/audio/chat/pix sharing/dating/social/advice column/rage-spewing site.
I think the term porn means different things to different people. I would say it's an erotic stories site, though some of the content is porn. But that's not the main purpose of the site.
I would describe Lush as an Adult Style Facebook. When I tell people about it.
You can come to read erotic stories/poems, You could have sexual conversations on chat, you could answer posts on forums, you could post and receive sexual gifs on your walls.
It's a place where you need to be 18 or older. It's whatever you want to make of it.
I also gather that it can be a place where you might not want people to know you're on. For me, I tell everybody I know. My family and friends know I write on several sites. Although, I don't share my pen name with everyone. I have sent a few friends to Lush Stories.
I believe it's a sexual site which has porn aspects to it.

I think for a most of us it's a site where we can come to just be ourselves, something we may not be able to be in real life. Some come to play, write, chat or just express themselves in some other way such as here or in the chat rooms with pictures, I don't see it as a porn site as such, you get out of it what you want and that makes it a better site than some out there.
Happiness will never come to those who don’t appreciate what they already have
Actually, after giving this more thought I think I would rather catch my 18 year old watching fucked up hardcore porn than talking to a middle aged (or older) creep telling her age is just a number or some shit like that on a "it's anything you want it to be" social site. I would be way less concerned if she was just watching porn, that would be normal.
If ones's mind is pornographic then it could be said that this site is pornographic. For me personally, this site is a forum for sharing erotic thoughts, sharing intellectual thoughts, and a place to learn writing skills.
