"Everything happens for a reason" ~ "If it`s meant to be, it`s meant to be"

This makes me want to kick people in the head. I am normally pretty chill, but I have lashed out rather furiously a couple times when told that. It's arrogant and condescending, in the guise of being comforting. It's also plain fucking wrong.

"God never gives you more than you can handle" is on that list too.

I'm with you on this. I don't like this phrase, not one single bit. I don't believe it's true either.
'word'
“It's nice sometimes to open up the heart a little and let some hurt come in. It proves you're still alive.”

"Step up to the plate" i.e. take responsibility, really bugs me. It's fine in the context of someone from the USA saying it, but it's crept very much into common usage in the UK too. We don't even have baseball here lol

You really knocked that one out of the park.

(Sorry Katie, I couldn't resist. You can spank me if you wish. And I know you do.)
'Do you know how fast you were going?'

I get so tired of hearing that from cops. OF course I know how fast I was going.

Well I'm going to tell you right off the bat Buz, just so nothing's coming out of left field for you, I hate baseball metaphors.

As for spankings, well that's a whole different ball game!

Have I covered all the bases there?

My new story has been awarded the Recommended Read. If you adore a needy bottom and fancy a short, but very naughty read...
"Let me be clear..." Favored by certain politicians. By all means, be clear. Who the fuck is stopping you? Clarity would be a welcome change, as would honesty.
