Just a thought but I wish they would add a horror section for things that aren't strictly supernatural ....
To write - I've only ever written lesbian. I'm not sure I'd know where to start with anything else! Oh, I've dabbled a bit in poetry too.
To read - Well in my capacity as a Story Moderator I'll read every category going, but for "fun" I tend to stick to the lesbian category or stories in other categories that feature a girl doing something on her own e.g. toys, masturbation, exhibition etc
I don’t really have a favourite category in which to write. I tend to come up with an idea, write the story, then worry about which category to place it in later. Sometimes it’s a very obvious choice, and at other times I’ll just drop it into whichever seems vaguely appropriate.
As for reading, I’m similarly ambivalent. If a story is by an author whose work I enjoy, I’ll give it a spin regardless. For example, I always read stories by VirgoGo, despite many of her pieces being about BDSM. That topic holds little to no interest for me, but her stories are so good that they always draw me into the fascinating scenarios she creates.
So… I don’t know! I just write whatever comes to mind, and read whatever seems interesting.

I love "wife watching" stories. I did have a ist attempt at writing but unfortunately being a little naïve my first try was not good enough. There are plenty of good authors on "Lush" without my juvenile attempt. "Once bitten, twice shy" but!.
I preferentially read and write reluctance and seduction stories. And I read anything by certain writers.

Reading? Anything in any category by certain authors; otherwise, most of my reading is in the form of old-fashioned actual books and anthologies of literary erotica.
