cool topic - i ABSOLUTELY adore cartoons! as a kid the bulk of my childhood was spent overseas on army posts and back then there was just one english speaking channel and it only showed old school hanna-barbera cartoons. during my 4th and 5th grade years we were stationed in the states. the one cartoon i can remember watching faithfully then was jem and the holograms.

we were stationed in the states when i attended high school and batman the animated series was my favorite. these days i binge on cartoon network when i need to veg.

Jem is truly outrageous truly truly truly outrageous

I loved that show!

In kindergarten it was Mighty Mouse. Then all the Chuck Jones Warner Brothers shorts of Bugs, Daffy, Foghorn, and the gang.

Along with Transformers and GI Joe.

I recently downloaded and watched these. When I was a kid I would do ANYTHING to watch these. I would wake up on Saturday at ungodly hours to catch a glimpse of any He-Man or Transformers.

I watched it recently... they are so bad. Such terrible animation.

He-Man was, afik, the first cartoon to treat its audience like imbeciles. The truly annoying way it would remind you that you were watching "He-Man."

The only cartoons I remember as a kid were Loony Tunes and Popeye. I did eventually turn left at Alboocoykey and here I am.

As an adult the best cartoons are the ones that work on multiple levels, most notably The Simpsons (A Streetcar Named Marge is my favourite) and Rugrats.

Looks like we're in for a nasty spell of wether.

My favorites have always been the Warner Bros. cartoons, Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies. Especially the ones made in the mid-40s through the 50s. They are still filled with great entertainment. Then, in the 1980s, I discovered Beavis and Butthead along with Daria Morgendorffer. Oh, and an astonishingly good cartoon series was Invader Zim. It was absolutely great.

I can’t think of a good tagline so this will have to do. Suggest a better one for me?
