Kinda living it being a mom, but if you mean paying job with money then a travel writer.
I'm essentially doing it. I'm an army medic in Afghanistan. Very few things that I can think of that are this rewarding.
The only thing better is perhaps being more involved in saving lives. Maybe an anesthesia provider.

I chased my dream and have my dream job, and honestly, since I'm willing to work in what's considered the wild west in my neck of the woods, the pay is amazing!
I have been very lucly to work many of the jobs I have wanted.
I was the Barn Manager/Asst trainer for a National Champion winning Trainer(I also worked for some WC winning trainers also). I have been privileged to ride/work with/train/show some phenomenal horses.
I baked cakes/pies through school.
Now I work with exotic animals half of the year and work with some very needy people during the rest of the year.
I truly have been blessed. I have also discovered that yes do something you love. But don't make your avocation your vocation. It leaves you to burnt out to enjoy it as an avocation anymore.
Even though it took over fourty years to find it, I have my dream job! I'm officially retired, but work 2-3 days a week at small boutique winery. I spend my day pouring wine, scmoozing with customers, educating those that want it, flirting with those who don't, tasting wine and, generally, enjoying life to the fullest. Had I found this gig at 21, I'd have less grey hair, but I'd be on my third liver.
