Amongst other things, I was deathly afraid of The Toilet Wolf.

I don't want to talk about it.

As a kid the Star Destroyers in Star Wars, I would hide behind the sofa when they came on. Also spiders both then and now, not as much now but they still creep me out.
Crimewatch it was sooo scary as a kid as well its real life, I still need to watch something happy afterwards to sleep

my mother

and snakes

A shrink could have a field day with that.
I thought of a resent one that plagues me still, I cannot be alone in a house overnight. Just cant do it.
I was terrified of going outside after dark

- creepy dolls that look like their eyes might move and follow you around and then become animated at night with evil plots to kill you while you sleep

- sharks

- a dark closet (which is why my closets are jam-packed with clothes and shoes so no scary monsters or evil serial killers could fit inside them ~ see, I *have* to keep shopping to ensure my safety!)

Oh, hearing that reason to shop made my day. Anyways, ClOWNS man! Victorian Era dolls too!
snakes, bugs, rats

When I was at primary school we were constantly being told about the plight of the "black babies" and how hundreds of them where starving to death every day. On a Friday we were supposed to "bring a penny for the black babies". I grew to fear hunger and I still do.

I've never really questioned it much until now, but why after all these years, and more, are black babies still dying in their hundreds every day?
So that we can hog most of the world's resources.

Ventriloquist dummies. These little bastards freak me the fuck out. I can watch Jeff Dunham all day every day, but if I'm in a room with one of them....

I watched a horror movie about a murderous ventriloquist and his dummy when I was very young, and it was incredibly realistic. Brilliant directing...Anthony Hopkins, what more could you wish for?

I'm still afraid of ketchup, for whatever irrational reason.
burnt cigars .. and still i dont know why is it so ? sad
Canals. Seriously, damn well scary. Not the water, I'm fine with that. It's when you look down at where the big loch/lock (?) gates are and it's such a drop and god, it STILL scares the hell out of me. I went on a school day trip to like a canal and oh god, i could just imagine falling down and then the gates opening and judt being drowned. sad And the gates don't even hold the water properly, so you can see the pressure as it leaks out through the cracks...*shiver* God, i'm scared just thinking about it sad Doesn't help that my brother told me rats LIVE in canals. Is that even possible?!

Say what??

After being forced to watch Cujo and shortly thereafter being chased and nearly bitten by a Rott/Doberman mix, I am terrifed of dogs. I know puppies are all cute and stuff, but to hell with that they're still in the species.

Freaking hate dogs...they scare the crap out of me!
very confined spaces freaked me out as a kid, still do now..a stranger one is a friend of mine who is absolutely terrified of pigeons.
I can't go to sleep if I can see out of a window. I scared of waking up to see some one looking at me threw it! My grand mother used to tell me if I didn't shut up and go to be someone would come in the window and get me.
snake for sure still scare me but now mabe big blake snakes
Just thought of another.

As a kid I was scared of 'The Draught'. I had no idea what it was, of course, but must have imagined it as some kind of lurking monster that crept around looking for open doors. This was on account of everyone around me telling me, "Shut that door or you'll let The Draught in!"

Simpler times...
Clowns freaked me out as a kid... and still do! Ughh ~shiver

Oh and I was one of those kids convinced there was something under my bed too! So yes, scared of the monster under my bed.
Wasps, scare the crap out of me, so much so, I have developed the ability to teleport when I spot one.

clowns

So I take it you guys scared of clowns love the move "It". Fantastic movie. Scared the pants off me, but not the clown factor.

As a kid, I was scared of storms. My grandmother was petrified and her fear was transferred to me. These days, I love them. I love getting out and photographing them.

Sitting in a small boat atop a large body of water. I could never surf for this reason. Feel like a top water natural bait.

Swimming in a natural lake or reservoir, or even wading out off the beach into an ocean or sea. I vaporlock when the waves crash at my knees.

Swimming in a public swimming pool. Blech
The same GQP demanding we move on from January 6th, 2021 is still doing audits of the November 3rd, 2020 election.

gahhhh!!

Me too.
Ballons. Odd I know but I have had a phobia of ballons my whole life. It has eased as I got older, I no longer scream until I am blue in the face if a ballon comes near me but they do still make me feel uncomfy when they are around me.

I sound like a mental case, I know.
