Heights (see next one)

Falling/descending (even a fast elevator can make me nervous, roller coasters freak me out badly, and I won't go near skis or snowboards).

Spiders, but I have been able to overcome it to some extent (though not nearly as dramatically as LasarDaddy's story)

All mild enough that I can live with them, though.

And earlier I forgot to mention I'm tokophobic, arachnophobic, herpetophobia, acrophobic, claustrophobic, apiphobia, dromophobic, algophobic, ligyrophobic, and odynophobic.

Fall, you and Aidin are amazing!

I forgot to mention that math problems scare me to death too.LYU1CyAHb6XRta08

I know Greek Elizabeth...and many phobias are expressed in Greek. The word "phobia" is Greek to start with. "phoebe"=fear

This is turning out to be quite an interesting thread! I have no fear of death, spiders, or snakes like many people do though. But I hate roaches...so I guess that would be a phoebia,...that would include bedbugs...just don't like beetles in general I suppose though lady bugs are fine. Snakes, when defanged or detoxified are very clean animals. At least the ones I've handled.

I'm not real fond of venomous snakes. I did have 2 encounters with venomous snakes while doing yardwork at home this past summer. They evidently didn't heed my 'No Venomous Snakes In The Yard' rule. I'm still here but the venomous snakes aren't. Now non-venomous snakes are welcome In fact it is against the law to kill a non-venomous snake in Georgia.

I have one phobic habit. I always shake my shoes out before putting them on to make sure there are no spiders or scorpions in them. Their sting can lead to the loss of a toe, toes, or the foot. Plus they can get into your house or apartment no matter if you live in a rural, suburban, or urban area.

The only phobia I can think of that I might have is like claustrophobia. I'm not fond of being in tight places or with a lot of people around me.

I've never been very afraid of bugs or spiders or anything. I'm always that weird person that will pick a spider up and throw it outside rather than let some meat-head step on it like he's the bravest person ever.

I haven't any phobias. I do get a little nervous whenever I see a black car with blacked-out windows, though. As someone else said, I'm not fond of flying lead.

I dislike venomous creatures, and generally treat them with a healthy dose of respect.

Around here, the most dangerous ones (other than people, of course) are copperhead snakes, white faced hornets, black widow spiders, and wolf spiders. We have Timber and Eastern Diamondback rattle snakes, but they generally let you know where they are before you step on them, so they don't bother me so much. When I find venomous creatures in the house, or living where I am likely to frequent, I usually do my best to wipe them out. In the wild, I generally push the snakes away with a long stick, and shoo the spiders and stinging insects away with whatever is handy.

Debt. Owing large amounts of money to someone scares the shit out of me. Don't know why, but I am never late on my rent. ;)

I don't care for going over bridges. I drive a lot for work and lucky for me do not encounter very many bridges. I tell people that I just shut my eyes!!

There seems to be a few people afraid of snakes here, after owning a 18ft python for many years snakes don't bother me in the least.
Heights on the other hand petrify me, so much so I won't even go two steps up a ladder.

Snakes, spiders, the dark...common phobias, I suppose. I also fear rejection and the thought of being alone for the rest of my life terrifies me. And then I'm very afraid of forgetting things or losing my memory.

Really!

I used to live quite close to one as a child. Spent most of my school holidays fishing on it.

My phobias... heights and sexual advances from attractive women.

I have Ophidiophobia, a debilitating fear of snakes.
Small spaces make me anxious but I don't have full blown panic attacks, I'm okay with elavators if they don't stop for a long time with the doors closed.

& I can't do boats because they make me very very nauseous and I'm scared of falling over board and drowning but I wouldn't classic it as a phobia.
