You mean people dictate about social events to 18 years olds? What kind of primitive attitude is that?

I especially like number 3.. expectations of society.. the same society that allows corporate greed and corruption to devastate economies for personal gain.. the same society that allows governmental excess with oversight.. the same society that says if you don't believe in God you are going to hell.. the same society that accepted Puritanism, witch hunts, and stockades for the poor.. yet an 18 year old boy bringing a 19 year old girl to the prom is totally unacceptable.. I didn't miss the point at all.. I was merely trumpeting the ridiculousness of the situation.. these "naive innocent underage kids" that you keep referring to are exposed to erotica and porn 24 hours a day on TV.. books.. movies.. cable.. dishes.. computers.. Ipads.. internet.. and general daily socialization with more enlightened peers.. yet on this night.. prom night.. a simple date between 2 teenagers is heralded as an attempt by the spawn of Satan to deflower the youth of America.. I ask that we all rise and turn to page 143 in our hymnals.. that's what society wants..

That's ridiculous and I think deep down you know it. Without rules and laws and regulations for our children we'd be living in some backward country that "allows" children to work 10 hours a day, smoke cigarettes and drink Scotch. If you're going to reach out of context and common sense then so am I. I don't recall saying anything about the other UNDERAGE kids being "innocent" at all. That's not the point. This isn't an adult dance. If it was they could have strippers, topless waitresses and a drawing at midnight to see who gets a walk on in her next film. This is a school dance. Not college, not a private school, a regular public high school dance with underage people attending. Let them be kids for a little while longer until they get that sheepskin and have to live the rest of their lives in the real world.

Theoretically, I agree with Warlock, and get my back up anytime people in adult industries get judged. But in practice, I think it would be a haywire night, hijacked by that spectacle. I think it's less likely to be a matter of the school passing judgement on sex workers as it is the school trying to sidestep the phone, email, and drop-in pandemonium from parents freaking out if they allowed it. Right or wrong, those adminstrators don't want to pick that battle; they've got enough on their hands already.

This is ridiculous. We need to protect our innocent 18 year old children from the evils of alcohol, sex and and non-wholesome prom night fun. After all, prom night is for chaste dancing and sipping fruit punch and holding hands as the parents chaperone their children's transportation to and from the festivities. Don't they know that porn is like a disease that will infect all who come into contact with this 19 year old girl who makes these movies? Shame, shame, shame!!!

Fuck.

Seriously? I can't believe this is even a debatable topic. They are 18 year olds that are going to a dance at the school and then will be off to their hotel after-parties for boozing, naked spin-the-bottle games and prom-night fucking. Unless the demand was to show the pornstar's videos on a jumbo-tron during the dance or have her do a live demo-orgy at the school, I don't understand the issue at all. She would just be another similarly aged girl at a party. She's not a leper or a contagion that will infect the innocence of the 18-year old students who happen to be partying in the same room with her.

Assuming that just because she's done some porn vids means that she is a raging fuck-a-holic who can't control herself enough to go to a public dance and act normally is really using some backward logic. The kids would have been fine with it - they're 18. Do you know what 18 year olds are doing these days? They're not drinking rootbeer floats and stealing quick kisses under the porch-light while attending to their 10pm curfews.

She should have been allowed to go and then admin should have judged the situation as it happened, if it happened. If things get out of line, then they get thrown out. No big deal.

I agree with you wholeheartedly Ladyx.

And the point again DD is that it's not just 18 year olds that will be attending a junior/senior prom. Or even if they would have just a senior prom they won't all be 18. Plus it's a school function. Put on by the school.

She's not doing anything porn-related at this school event. She is just attending a dance. I don't see a 19 year old in a prom dress as cause for alarm regardless of who is attending.

People should be bounced based on their behaviour at the event. Either that or refuse tickets to anyone who doesn't attend the school if they want to be that paranoid/controlling.

Not to beat this to death but I didnt see where it was a junior/senior prom or did I miss something? It just says prom. And in the article they mention the boy escaped any disiplinary action by the school, did they even consider this? The school states they have the right to refuse anyone if they "substantially disrupts the orderly operation of school or school activities". If a student invited say Justin Bieber I am sure that would disrupt orderly operation much more than this 19yo girl would. But I would bet the school would be happy to allow that.

I asked the principal of my daughters school if he would have allowed this. He told me there was no written policy against it so as long as it was just the girl and no entourage and it wasnt being filmed for sale or viewing on a show like Extra, and she was properly dressed he would allow it.

The school has the right to do what they think is best, but it sounds a little judgemental to me

So, if you're eighteen years of age, you can be handed an automatic rifle and kill as many humans as possible (within 50 bursts) but you can't bring a porn starlet to your high school prom dance?

Gimme a fucking break.
The same GQP demanding we move on from January 6th, 2021 is still doing audits of the November 3rd, 2020 election.

WTH? If she's his "date", what difference does it make what she does for a living? As long as she acts as everyone else does, what's the harm? This isn't 1950. Aren't porn actors/actresses allowed to have friends/acquaintences outside their profession?

its one of the " innocent children" that decided to invite her in the first place... and what harm is she causing by being around them? would a 19 year old boxer be denied? he beats people up for a living. thats horrible.

Actually I do agree. If the kid hadn't gone out of his way to make this a publicity thing, the school would have never known. But there are hundreds of other kids there and the prom isn't just about him. No one wants their prom bombarded by the media or to remember it as the one that guy took a porn star to. Well, I guess I shouldn't say no one, but still. Let the kids enjoy their prom. Besides, the amateur porn actress got the publicity she wanted without ever having to go.

I have to say, I can see both sides of this. And neither side is right and neither side is wrong. It was a judgement call by the school, though I think they might have handled it a little differently. I think they could have set some parameters to be followed, i.e., no news crews or reporters, she would have to behave properly. and perhaps also make it clear to all in attendance that she is to be treated just like any other student and not given any undo attention. No lining up to take pics with a bunch of guys, etc. as long as any commotion was not of her doing, then she should be allowed to stay and those who caused it made to leave. If she and the boy who invited her wanted to do something els after the prom, then they could do it at one of the after parties where everyone else gets wild and crazy. Oh, and btw, being a porn star does not make her a slut! There may probably be girls at that school who are a lot sluttier than her, and they are allowed to go to the prom!!!

Couple of other things, several people made comments about the fact that she chose to miss her own prom. What I got was that she moved during her senior year and couldn't go. It said nothing about her choosing not to go. Also, several people made comments about if it were a 30 year old porn star. I think THAT would be wrong. This is a dance for HS students or at least kids of HS age. A 30 year old certainly does not fit into that category!

Is everybody involved in porn a star? How much attention would it really have attracted to the school if she'd just been allowed to attend? It's probably caused more of a stir that she wasn't allowed to attend the prom than if she'd just showed up as someone's date. I'm suspicious that this is just to promote her career.

My guess is that the young lady would cause a disruption in the proceedings, since her date has probably bragged to all his pals about bringing a porn star to the prom. It's not like she'd be going incognito.

I spent some time teaching high school boys, and most of them, no matter what their ages, are little better than chimpanzees. I can only imagine the scene if they've been promised a real live porn star, and she then appears at the dance. They'd have to break out the fire hoses.

Hm I'm torn on this I could see how that would be a problem since porn isn't socially accepted & her appearance would cause great interest in the subject. And on the other hand she actually responded to make this kids dream come true, she said herself that she wanted to go seeing as she couldn't go to her own prom. Which I do find to be a little off sure she's a pornstar I'm sure the females in that school do the same shit she does but keep it off camera, therefore is their such a great difference between them that she should be banned for such deeds?
