NOT on my pizza! Revolting!

I've always thought that most people who don't like pineapple on pizza have probably not tried it. I like pineapple and jalapeno peppers. I haven't tried banana on pizza, but I like to eat pineapple, banana and pimento cheese sandwiches. Either or both.
This is a great switch up every once in awhile.
Who created this?!
Someone please dial 999...

Who created this?!
A pizzeria owner from Chatham, Ontario, Canada. Forget his name offhand, but he passed away not long ago IIRC. Chatham is only an hour from where I live (London, Ontario, Canada).
A woman goes shopping in the local mall. But what the heck is she shopping for in that outfit? My Festive Flash comp entry.

Many years ago I ate a pizza in Chatham while visiting the nearby Lake Erie beaches. It was a very large somewhat flat pizza with many at the time anyway, I thought unusual ingredients, including boiled eggs. I think it had pineapple and some yellow peppers on it also...... delicious. I wonder if it could be the same place you refer to?? Anyway, thanks for the memory.

We invented pineapple pizza.

And don't worry -- Coors and and anything from Taco Bell disqualifies the US, as well
Molson and Coors are actually the same company now so this actually fits well with your previous statement. They merged almost 20 years ago. They also own Miller since 2016. I'm not a beer drinker, though, so I could care less.
So have some Molson Canadian with your pineapple pizza, though I personally prefer a nice Niagara red wine with mine.

I'd rather go hungry and sober.

I've gone hungry. Trust me, you'd eat the pizza.
You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

You're right, Sprite. I could just pluck off the fruit and toss it to the rodents. They'll eat anything. 😋

The Hawaiian pizza has an interesting origin. The inventor was a Greek restauranteur in Canada who had been used to preparing Chinese meals which often mix sweet and savoury. So he was experimenting with pizza toppings and tried pineapple. Hey Presto!
I actually like it.
And it all happened an hour from where I live! And Hawaiian (which in Canada means pineapple, ham, bacon) is one of my favorite pizzas.
