My practical advice for Baman8in, is either hit a few clubs, go out with friends, mingle and just let people know what you are looking for. Before I commented, I know that the statement was misinterpreted by others the same way, so I wasn't the only person to read it as such.
However, I do disagree with your statement that I bolded above. The Lushies who have posted on this thread usually have very strong opinions and are more than willing to let you know when they disagree with you. Just like you did. If they disagreed with me, they certainly would not have been timid about letting me know with something along the lines of "CG, put down what your smoking or pass it this way, that is totally not what the guy was saying." Many of them have disagreed with me in the past, and I'm sure they won't be shy about doing it again in the future. They're pretty smart cookies and love a good debate/disagreement especially with friends!
