When surfing stories, do not use the laptop as a coffee cup holder, especially while on the bed, as our lovely Kate now demonstrates:

Post your safe surfing tips!
If you're living with a bunch of students who have a tendency to run into your room to do stuff to it while you're blissfully unaware, close lush before you leave the room!!!
Hmmmm! I particularly like the inference that all you lovely ladies should be surfing dressed only in you undies/bikini.

Anyone want to meet in the chat rooms?

"If history repeats itself, and the unexpected always happens, how incapable must man be of learning from experience?" - George Bernard Shaw
Always clear your browsing history upon completion of a Lush session (especially if you pop on at work, which I hardly ever do! lol). For me it's imperative as I have kids who also use my computer every now and then. Two different user accounts on the comp works out pretty well though. And I'm a stickler about monitoring what they do on it.

MK, you're incorrigible! lol

i usually surf naked, MK. just thought i'd share.

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

Is there any other way Sprite?
I always clear my browser history when shut down. Have it set to do it automatically. This way no one knows where I have been (well its never really gone) and it eliminates all temp files and cookies. Good practice even if you dont use sites like Lush.

I do that too...

Oh, and another tip... when surfing Lush at work, make sure you have another screen open (with work on) just incase someone walks in, so that it looks like you are "actually working".

I know what you mean! That coffee might be hot! On the other hand, if she gets burned, she may be able to bring a lawsuit against Dell Computer and receive a nice award.

Make sure that work would not have a policy against sites like lush because all web traffic goes through a proxy or dns server that can track ALL your steps...

I always have my hdd and my bios password protected.. never know who is going to steal my lappy

Gosh - you can see right there that she's not using her retractable cup holder...

most internet browsers now have a private browser in which you can open anything and it isnt recorded. i suggest this for times when you only want to check your lush mail or do a quick stop of. closing the brower is like clearing your history smile

Indeed, this is very true. Though where I work is a one-owner small business, so there is no worry about that. Funny too...the owner, I've already discerned, is not too computer savvy, he's not down with clearing the history when he surfs the net at work before going home LOL. I've noticed a few 'questionable' pages/sites visited in the browsing history before. None of my business of course, let's just hope when his wife comes up here and gets on, she doesn't go checking things out haha.

Safe surfin' all .

He is incorrigible, and a few other things too...but that's off topic.

If you utilize any of the Windows Operating systems this might be of interest to you... Clearing your browser history only gives you a false sense of security. The below article explains 'things' a bit more clearly for the average computer user, but I don't recommend their product, you're liable to invite other critters onto your hard drive, which I can assure you, you don't want to invite in.

http://www.acesoft.net/delete_index.dat_files.htm

However, this is handy to have on your desktop -

http://www.systenance.com/indexdat.php Simply click DOWNLOAD and let the binary file come in and install upon your pc. It is clean. (no bugs, no other popups, no spyware, no adware, nothing but a neat little tool to entice you to 'purchase other products from them, if you so wish')

(note - this won't erase everything. Law enforcement can still grab enough to nail you if you're doing things you probably should not be doing with your computer. This will, however...prevent 99% of everyone else who is not a computer security nerd from peeking over your shoulder when you're not around).

A buddy of mine had installed this on his wife's pc which he had built.
You'd think, if you were married to a known computer security engineer,
who built the computer that you used to surf AdultFriendFinder or visit
other adult fucking sites, you'd be bit more careful about what you did
on your computer, unless you wanted to be caught.

So, it can work for you - or - against you.

Happy surfing everyone!

*note - failing the above, simply consult with Jillicious on a suitable alternative to Windows. (just trying to throw you some business, Jill)
