I like nature and it doesn't matter where, but how and for sure I would have 9am Mojito (hey don't judge, I am European after all) in one hand and book in other, with feet up in cozy small cottage. Would do some actual charity work after midday nap.

Paris, Venice, and Santa Fe.
I'd have espresso in the morning. I would partake of good art, good books, good music, and good food.

Venice? Certainly not in summer, the smell is so bad.

"All the money I need"? If it smells in Venice, I take a plane to one of the other houses.

Pay off everyone's mortgage, set up trust funds for the kids in my family as well as my friend's children, love Key West so I would splurge on a house there and maybe a buy a little private island?? Set up a charity/non profit that will provide financial assistance to those interested in adoption (my friend adopted her two kids, expensive as heck, but worth it) donate a large amount of money to the charities I now support.

Would live in South West England (Somerset/Dorset). Buy, do up and rent out period properties as holiday homes.

Hmmm. Well I achieved financial freedom a while back. I already live where I want to. Every time I travel, I can't wait to get home. Financial security doesn't mean it will be forever but I does enable you to help others.

(Sorry I doubled posted this - meant it for here not the Pub)
I'm living my dream of going where i want and doing what I want. But I've come to the conclusion I've could have done the same thing years ago.

So the second part of this is:

Why are you letting things stop you from fulfilling your dream?

Not your reasons for stopping you - like house payments, jobs, etc, rather why are you letting those things stop you.

As Thoreau said something like men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to their graves with the song still in their heart.

Second part.... If your dream requires huge amounts of cash then there is never enough. I wrote in my poem The Illusion how life seduces us with things seen. Just one more thing will fulfill my dreams. Thing is that is a lie. Your real riches are not in the things money can buy.

Life is caught between light and darkness

Caught between reality and desire

A beautiful rose in bloom

Is gone far too soon

That child that was playing

Becomes an old man praying

The events we so carefully plan

In time will turn into sand

Power, money, and fame

Can't endure the flames

Let there be no confusion

What seems so real is but an illusion

Life seduces us with pleasures seen

Just one more thing will fulfill my dreams

My life is like a wave upon the shore

All too soon it will be never more

But our hearts entwined our joy we lift

For life is but a precious gift

All those things I cast aside

It is in you alone that I reside

Your love, that is so hard to explain

Endures all time endures all pain

All the money I "needed"? Homes in numerous major cities and exotic locations around the world fully furnished & equipped with clothing and all necessities ....and a bicycle...... E.g New York, London, Bangkok, Brussels, Frankfurt, Tokyo, Rio, Montserrat, Maui, LA, Bali, Vienna, Prague, Iceland, Stockholm, Parma, a Greek Island, Auckland, Moorea, Spain, Jakarta, assorted quiet little places away from major tourist areas., etc etc....then I would travel around the world flying with only a small carry on....and then...just experience.....

I would still call Australia home. I would have a home:
- on Orpheus Island
- in the mountains by a lake
- and a private jet to travel wherever I wanted, whenever I wanted, with whoever I wanted.

And become patron to charities and foundations I believe in.

I would give nearly all of it to women's shelters as I have in the past. As where I would live? In a Romani traveling Caravan.
