Hi. I often wonder if I will ever find or be found on here (or other sites) by anyone I know in the outside world. Has anyone had this experience and like to share?
To my knowledge, I've not met anyone on Lush that I've previously known in "real life", but I have met some friends on Lush that I've now come to know and appreciate out in the world. Several so far that I've met and broken bread with, and several more with whom I share a commitment to meet if we're ever in the same geographic area. That aspect has been very rewarding.
Back in the days of porn theaters we would occasionally go to one for fun. Always wondered what we'd think if we ran into someone we knew, but then they were there too, so it's kind of one of those "don't ask, don't tell" things. Interesting if it was your boss, though, or maybe your minister...
Not on a sex-oriented site per se, but back in my twenties, a lot of girls, including me, were very sexually open on MySpace, and my sister found my profile there and learned about my orientation and preference for women. That was pretty awkward, and led to more trouble with my dad when she had to go and rat me out to my parents. After that, everyone who I was afraid of learning about my orientation already knew, so since then, I haven't cared who finds me on a sex site. I was pretty much 'outed' to everyone who mattered.
The closest would be seeing a picture of someone I recognized who lives less than a mile from me on a hook up site. I sent her a PM, but never heard back from her. On Lush, I have recently cut back my friends list and anyone still on it I'd be glad to have coffee or a beer with. No strings.
Yes, we talked for quite a while and wound up in the same area so met for dinner. We are still good friends.
not here on lush. however, on my old site i ran across profiles of people from my hometown a few times here and there. that was just a general chat site so, no biggie.
When I worked my earlier job, I knew a couple of my colleagues were also lush members. Since they liked to keep it a secret, I didnt talk about it with them either.
No I haven't. But some of my friends here are definitely on my list, whom I would want to meet in real life!
No, not from a sexual site but from a band site. It sure was an experience.

Though the OP makes it more clear the thread title is rather ambiguous and that shows in the comments. That said I have never found someone I already knew in the physical world here on Lush or on a similar site.
