What are you dressing up as this Halloween?

Some of us are a bit stumped ~ so share your ideas or what you think is a great costume!

Van
A friend of mine has decided to take complete responsibility over my costume. So whatever her idea is, it's going to be incredibly slutty and very artistic
I'm not sure yet, but as rxtales mentioned, "incredibly slutty" will definitely be a defining feature.

Hallowe'en is that great time of year when girls can dress like total sluts and go out in public and not face any repercussions. In fact it's usually encouraged. I've always found it kind of amusing.

Anyway, I'm still trying to figure out what to be this year, but if it turns out well, maybe I'll post a pic.
After looking totally awesome and anonymous as the Dark Knight last year, this year, I am going to wear a costume that does not require me to peel off everything just to go for a pee!! It's back to my Star Trek NG uniform this year - "Engage".
"Whoa, lady, I only speak two languages, English and bad English." - Korben Dallas, from The Fifth Element

"If history repeats itself, and the unexpected always happens, how incapable must man be of learning from experience?" - George Bernard Shaw
I don't know. Perhaps a ghostbuster? That'd be pretty fun. Last year, I took a Captain America sheild to work and wore it around. My Lieutenant said I had to take it off after a while. Oh well. It was fun while it lasted.
Ferte in noctem animam meam, Illustre stelle viam meam. Aspectu illo glorior, Dum capit nox diem. Cantate vitae canticu, Sine dolore acte, Dicite eis quos amabam, Numquam obliviscar.
My little angel has very spiky hair, and hubby thought that maybe we could feature that in her costume, possibly as a very young punk rocker, but then while reading the other night, he came up with the perfect costume for her. We found black pants and a red shirt with black horizontal strips for her and she will be Calvin, and hubby will be Hobbes. The trick will be to see if anyone remembers that classic strip! Still don't know what I'm going to dress up as, my thoughts so far have been Daphne from Scooby Doo, The Scarlet Witch, a flapper, or Lily Munster.
"A black cat crossing your path signifies that the animal is going somewhere." - Groucho Marx
I wish i knew what I was going to be...Last year I was a goddess the year before that I was a bunny no not a playboy bunny. Might have to go to the local halloween store and get ideas lol!

I'm not sure yet but this is what I'll be wearing later that evening.

it sure is!
One year I bought a man's red golf shirt from Value Village and sewed on a glittery golden "A" for my son to go out as Alvin from the Chipmunks. It was perfect! He was warm underneath and wore a white baseball cap at an odd angle. Everyone knew he was Alvin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That same year, my daughter went out as Wednesday - What a Hoot!! White Shirt and a black short skirt with knee highs and loafers. A black long wig in braided pigtails and a whited face. Again, no one had to ask 'who are you?'

Sadly, I did not go out as Mortica ..... but boy ~ would I love to!!

Van
That sounds great, CastleQueen! Calvin and Hobbes is classic good stuff lol.

We usually do homemade stuff (for the kids and ourselves) with some halloween shop stuff thrown in. I've decided on 'being' a Gypsy, already have some pretty cool gauzy/fine cotton type material to make as the skirt and probably will try to find a tight fitting off the shoulder, puffy sleeved bodice type thing at a halloween shop for the top. Headscarf already have and a fringed type scarf thing to tie around the waist...can't wait! My daughter...mimicking mommy and I'm cool with that lol.
One thing I don't like about Halloween is that some of my nerdier ideas for costumes wouldn't be gotten by 99.999999% of the people out there. I'd love to put together a Mara Of The Acoma outfit based on the cover art for the Empire series, but maybe 12 people across the country would get it....I am such a nerd.

I'll post them up but Halloween is far away lol
I have a closet full of costumes from my days in musical theatre. Pirate, victorian nobleman, fisherman, gangster - I'll make a last minute decision.
My costume arrived today...I was a bit bored as I'm off work ill...I can only watch so much Daytime TV...

WOW Miss L! It's off the hook! I love it and the hair! Beautifully done.

Lois!! I LOVE it!!! thanks for sharing!!!
