Does it ever? Often times, my day doesn't turn out as expected.

Hahahaha! I had one of those days today, ww.

I'm not too busted up over where I am right now in my life, but, I did become the man I wanted to be. That is more important to me. I can take whatever I thrown my way.

Considering that I never had a "plan," I've been extremely fortunate. I'm not the calculating type, I'm all heart, emotions and passions, unfortunately. I don't recommend it. The stories I could tell. But, I wouldn't change the bad things because then I wouldn't have the good things. It amazes me how intricately dependent they are on one another. I'm happy, ecstatic at times and I have more than I knew to ask for.
? A True Story ?

Yes it did turn out about the way I planed it as I wanted a career in the Air Force. Them there was another career that was my second choice when I decided to accept the offer to transfer to the Air Force Reserves. This gave me time for two careers

Over and above what I had ever thought. And the ride continues. After all, all things work together for good... The seemingly bad stuff was infinitely more productive in my life than the easy stuff. How about you? Is there anything in your life you value highly that didn't come with a price? Hardship develops character, perseverance, humility and tolerance.

Nope. I wanted to be in a successful band. Whether that meant big time fame, or enough to tour and travel. Came close twice, but ego's caused the death of both before we could really get to that point. Since then, I've been a lost soul, just trying to figure it out. Not so easy when your dreams were on your finger tips, to just slip away.

Regardless. No matter what happens, just gotta keep working towards happiness, and you'll get there.

Does anyone's? But would you be who you are if it did? I still wish I was where I was supposed to be right now, overseas with someone important to me, but things didn't turn out that way. So now, I am on a different adventure for now. smile

A subjective life becomes objective when you look back in review. Changes could have been made. Choices should have been made. Successes and failures are all links in the same chain. I have a beautiful daughter and an amazing grandson. I have a loving long-term relationship with Aletheia. What could have been and what will be are only pipe dreams compared to what I actually hold in my hands.

My advice to you is find open mike sessions go along and jam with people. You'll eventually find reliable people you are compatible with and form a band.

When I was a teen I had aspirations. Dream job was a quiet job (which I didn't know you need a degree in), a fantastic husband, married and children and to be fit and healthy.

In my early 30s I have a casual job where I am on call if needed (basically can say unemployed until the job needs me), I live in a rural town. I attempted twice for a degree but I have had tragedies that stopped me from completing. I am obese at 163 cm and 95 kg. I have a long term partner of 11 years but he has mental health issues, I don't have children.

It wasn't what I envisioned but I am thankful that I have a roof over my head, food to eat, a car for transport. Simple pleasures.

I am currently thinking of re doing my degree or do a small course just to add to my CV.

Who knows life doesn't go as smoothly.

Much better than expected. Marring Brandie (NOLAHotGal) is a big part of the unexpected. I bet as wives go she would be in the top 5% world wide. Awesome Cajun / southern cook, keeps the inside of our home super clean and well decorated, runs her own successful business, and one hell of a lover. Plus a whole lot of other cool things.

I was able to work in my first and second career choices. Thanks to the US Air Force, I was able to see most of our country and a lot of the rest of the world. Was able to turn my experiences in both into a consulting business and a lot of that is in the movie industry down here in Hollywood South. Spent some time working in a completely different and unexpected career field for a few years. Turned out to be very challenging and a lot of fun. Best of all we are both healthy.

Did it?

Mine definitely didn't. When I was a kid I wanted to be a professor. I didn't know what kind, just a professor, because my friend's grandad was one and I thought it sounded amazing.

Then, when I was at school I thought I'd be an architect.

And now I'm an accountant.

Didn't see it coming at all.

How about you?

Pretty much, yeah. I've done everything I expected I would have done up for the most part until this point. There's still a lot ahead for me and so much more to do, so we'll see how that works out. Maybe things will take a different route, and maybe they won't. Expectations will change.

Does anyone's life turn out as expected. Kind of an obtuse question because I don't think anyone is anal enough to plan their life to their expectations and plus their are way too many variables to diflect expectations.
But yes, I am happy how mine went. Wish I had done things differently, but I didn't so here I am happy and content.

No it didn't! I married the man of my dreams only to lose him! I had a beautiful little girl and lost her too! Shattered dreams and stolen love! But I have beautiful memories of wonderful times! In spite of the bad I'm doing what I love and look forward to great things in my future...?

Vocationally? No. Sexually? Yes. I kinda screwed up my chosen career by my sexual excesses in my twenties, so apparently, my sexual freedom is more important to me than my career was!
