Just wondered if i was the only person who has realized that all the on line dating and fettish sites to meet people are crap? Seem that either they end up a bs profile or they just dont ever respond to anything you say. Just wondered as that is why i dumped every one of them today.
I can only speak from the guys and gals that I speak to and many in my area have gone back to the old fashioned way of dating ie meeting somebody out and socialising etc.
Meeting or talking to someone online is a chance. you never really know who is behind the screen, who you are really talking to. But I will say, I met my husband online. We are very happy, more so than the man i met in the "normal" way and was married to for 35 years. Milik is a very special person. But we took our time, we talked online and on the phone for over a year before meeting in person. So I will say not all dating or online relationships are bad. Just be careful. I was lucky, I found a wonderful man. Dont give up yet..
I met my current BF online, and we have what I would call a steady and successful relationship. Yeah, online dating is hella frustrating and, as you say, there are plenty of times you don't get replies to messages or people are out to scam, etc. I've had plenty of creepy messages and encounters. I've had people say things to me that really aren't okay, even by internet standards, but, as with everything in life, persistence and patience is key.
Dating IRL and the 'old-fashioned way' has it's risks and perks too. Everything does. You just gotta go with what you feel comfortable with and take things at your pace.
Try both ways and keep your options open. As the others have stated there are downfalls of both ways. But as Simplicity has stated don't give up and keep trying. Sometimes fate ( as in my case) brings people together. That checkout person serving you at the supermarket could be your next partner .
