Just no... more cheese and pepperoni please instead.
Pineapple on pizza....it's just wrong....
Hell no. That's just gross IMHO.
Apparently the Pineapple pizza was created by Sam Panopolous a Greek immigrant to Canada in 1962.
Growing up, it was always the second most common pizza type after pepperoni. I just did a bit of research and apparently it's quite popular in Australia and the UK.
It's also apparent that it's hated in the US. Jimmy Kimmel has made a big deal about it. But come on... everyone from New York hates everything from everywhere else.
But let's address this... You are judging a topping and not the entire pizza. Nobody would simply toss pineapple onto a pepperoni pizza. It only works when combined with certain flavors.
Ham and pineapple is a classic flavor combination. I don't really like fruit and meat but this kind of works.
So adding it to a pizza is a reasonable step.
I like green olives but I hate green olives on pizza. Because that flavor profile doesn't work.
Ham and pineapple works.
No, it's too sweet for a savoury food like pizza...

Not my first choice, but not gonna turn one down. I've even had banana on pizza once and kiwi too. Who cares?
Oh, and green olives definitely work great on pizza. The best is gorgonzola though.

Its plain wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong
For the people that say no.... How many have actually tried it?
In Chicago, never! In AZ, I've seen it, not tried it, but I would.
It's a yes for me.
Delicious.
