Your point, as you seem to have stated it, and I paraphrase, is that you don't personally agree with what happened in any of the cases we have mentioned, but the people involved at the time thought it was an acceptable way to behave, so we should not judge them based upon our own standards. Is that pretty much the gist of what you've been saying?
