Yahoo have decided to block all email from lush stories. For the time being anyone registering with a address will not receive their confirmation mail. Any existing member will not receive any updates from lush until this issue is resolved.

Cheers

We are paying for a mail service which was supposed to guarantee our mail gets through.

We have never sent out a single email which wasn't an opt-in from a member (notify me of new stories from xyz member etc). What are Yahoo playing at?

Yahoo.com: Ceased to be cool and has continued to fail since 2003! If all My contacts and friends were not registered through them I would totally kick it to the curb. Refusing to deliver mail from lush? Who are they now AOL? I don't know...the once mighty has fallen so low. I do not even use search anymore due to the fact that you can't even use it to go to well known sites including Amazon or even govenrment domains without being hijacked and redirected to somewhere completely different.

It's seems as though nothing is getting through. I've had to reply back to their support centre with our privacy policy, rejection details and my home address. Not sure what do they want that for, to send me a gift as compensation?

Hey Gav...I wouldn't wait by the mail box waiting for that gift if I was you...

On the subject of free e-mail accounts, I have been using , which was recommended to me by another author...I think it's great actually...

There is Google docs, for one thing...and since Google owns half the world, when you log into , it automatically logs you into YouTube for instance...
I know that in itself would be a selling point for some here...works for me...

You know you want it, you know you need it bad...get it now on Amazon.com...

Gmail is brilliant!!!!! But being in China, and since Google pulled out I find it slow at times now. Yahoo is a pain in my backside. Constantly having to put in some code to send messages... but when you put in the code? Even if it is exactly as it is shown? I get rejected!!!!!

And I hate being rejected!!!!!
Living life and enjoying life are two different things... just need to figure out how to do both at the same time to live it right!

Woman... GO FLY A KITE!!!!! Take a slideshow walk with me on a walk through the parks of Inner Mongolia, China. Then enjoy the tale of a very traditional day in the life of a white Woman in China.

Really, wow I sincerely hope so.

FFS Yahoo, pull your act together. You would not suspect Facebook was a spammer would you?

Excellent perseverance Gav. I can't understand these companies blocking opt in emails. We don't even do a monthly newsletter or anything.

Hotmail and both work well. I have mine going to my road runner account, but I do forward stories to my friends who have these accounts. Don't know why would care, have you seen some of their group mail?
Well that's just my opinion, sorry if you don't like.

For such a simple task, sending email (by code) is hard.

I guess these pill popping, viagra laden, penis explosion spammers ruined if for all of us.

~ "She left the web, she left the loom,
She made three paces through the room,
She saw the water-lily bloom,
She saw the helmet and the plume,
She look'd down to Camelot.
Out flew the web and floated wide;
The mirror crack'd from side to side;
"The curse is come upon me," cried
The Lady of Shalott. "

Gav - invite someone at Yahoo to join lush, ask them to look at all the settings, and see if they get a single email if they have turned off all the contact choices.

I wonder if they block facebook too? I unclicked over 50 boxes in FB to stop their incessant emails. Ours are all opt in.
