It looks like the paragraph spacing is fixed! That was driving me frikkin bonkers. Thanks Lush!

It's no longer three lines deep? How can you tell? In draft or after its been submitted? When it actually posts?

I think it's a change in the formatting for all text now (in the css in the olden days). More space between paras, less space between lines. Thank frikkin god. Bonkers, I tell you, bonkers!

More space between paragraphs?!?! You could drive my car in that lane as it was. When did people lose the ability to read composed text? No wonder nobody picks up a book anymore -- it's too taxing to work out. What's next? Mandatory double spaces after full stops? Banishment of the Oxford comma?

I like that story spacing has gotten fixed as well as the copy and paste blocker on desktop. Although it isn’t foolproof, it does mean people have to put more effort into skimming stories. I like how on desktop the text is reactive when I zoom now.

Watching this space for story improvements as they happen. smile

Waving wave to sweet Violet above. Glad your login got fixed!

I love the way Series works now in a Series drop-down menu. You get ALL linked stories and can choose one you want on EACH one. I hope okay with mods, admin, but I even used it to group micros by theme ex: Christmas Micros, Horror/Supernatural Micros, etc. Only frustrating bit is I lost last one of our "Monster Within" series, since Jason submitted it, instead of me.

I like that we don't have to wait a set amount of time to pay again on a thread! ❤

Word count sort of got added in. It's rounded once you get to 1000 + words so it shows as 1.0k or 1.6k, but it's a start. Definitely better than estimated read times. smile

*Presses CMD+S. Walks off grinning.*

I also love that the paragraph spacing has been sorted. Soooooo much nicer to read. Also love how the menu has changed: all that sea of "My this" and "My that" has been replaced with just "this" and "that". Simple change but so much faster to find stuff when skimming content.

And, when logging in, the cursor now auto-focuses in the login box. Again, super simple but a boon for people like me who prefer not to store passwords.

Please browse my digital bookshelf. In this collection, you can find 116 full stories, 10 micro-stories, and 2 poems with the following features:

* 29 Editor's Picks, 75 Recommended Reads.
* 15 competition podium places, 11 other times in the top ten.
* 21 collaborations.
* A whole heap of often filthy, tense, hot sex.

it tool me apx 15 seconds to read this post of 32 words. also, look at you, able to post in the forums again :)

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

The one thing that I love most about lush is:

Other things come to mind but my browser reloaded and everything I had typed went poof.

Just have to be careful to 'quote', not 'report'. Although, I've always wondered what would happen if I reported you for your unlicensed use of electroshock therapy. ;)

I also got a notification about a story from someone I follow today as well as a notification saying a story I sent to be reapproved for a minor edit was published along with informing me of the mod who approved it. :)

I like the way the forum is readable on a phone, obviously.

The new site is a lot more resilient it seems, so far.

I like the new chat room setup, with a room for actual chat!

And I like the fact that the f/m ratio in the chatrooms seems to have improved 😉

Edit: Oh dear, I knew I shouldn't have said that. I just got the "Well this is embarrassing..." error message!

I love the new series management system that was added yesterday. I think this is unarguably better than the old site. Now to reorder a series, instead of having to mess around changing the linking of individual chapters, you can click the little symbol next to the series name and reorder from one page, or go here.

Punked competition entry: Punk’s Undead

A very naughty Catholic schoolgirl: Emma (Part 1) (RR) | (Part 2)

Horror: Women Of Dark Desires(RR), Doll Parts (EP), Lo! Baphomet! A Queer Erotic Horror (OS)

A cheeky little micro: Go Fuck Yourself!

Okay, I've got one.

The full numerical breakdown of the bar graph is an improvement over the original, and I like it.

Users can now cancel friend request. I'm not much into adding users, so I'm happy w/ being able to cancel a friend request w/ someone I didn't really see myself chatting w/ in the first place.

Okay, I've got another one.  The series editing is wonderful.  It's also exactly the code that would allow us to order our story page as we wish, so the heavy lifting on that is already complete.  It's just a matter of implementing it.  Still need the ability to edit existing stories to make them a series, and a button on the story page similar to the "unpublished" button would be nice for quicker access to series editing, but what's there is easy to use and works like a charm.  My existing series are all back in the proper order in a scant couple of minutes.

ETA: Okay, figured out how to create new series.  Didn't realize you could just start typing.  Since adding a series is requiring moderator approval, I guess I'll have to go slow.  Don't want to overload the queue, and there's a lot to link up.

Split quoting in the forum is awesome.

Steps to nirvana:

1. Select a chunk of text in a forum post you want to reference.

2. Tap the quote button beneath that post.

3. Look at your Write Reply box and see the selected text has been pasted at the end of whatever was already in the box, if anything.

4. Reply in context and bask in its awesomeness.

5. Repeat steps 1-4 to quote as many people as you want in a single post.

Yeah! No more wading through tonnes of full-post quotes to find a single-line reply at the bottom referencing a point a third of the way through it.

Love it.

I love the 'new posts' button to filter the forum on recent stuff. Also love that it tells me how long ago someone posted last, rather than me trying to work out which timezone the forum is in.

Agree that the timezones were confusing, but a date would be better than the much more ambiguous "one week" or "three months", which is rather non-specific. That would also hold true for friends last online date as well.

I love everything about the site.

It's so smooth and so beautiful.

I love the pvt message in room;just another box in the same link not a separate window. How easy it is to switch off pics in need be and I know that many miss the whispers, but I like that's its not there(for now?) because nobody has posted accidental whispers cause we all know I'd answer them lol

And the emojis are cute. I don't use any emojis besides the heart and once I clicked on the cake emoji and had a little laugh cause CAKE by RIRI invaded my mind.

But dropped whispers were half the fun in a room! And the one sided convos were fun to try and figure out what the whisperer was saying, don't ya think?

The new password protected Ladies Room is an example of how LS really listens to the concerns of its members.

It's a great comfort to know that all visitors are now fully paid-up devotchkas in possession of their own cervix.

It has now no longer needs a password as they have now limited to female profiles only (at least that is what was posted in another thread). Now it is much like the old Lush, meaning men making female profiles can get in, but we always dealt with that issue. I am glad to not have to enter a password every time.

Crap, I did not realize this. Being able to quote only parts of a post was something I wanted for a long time (the software I use on the site I run has had it for a while). I like this, too.

In fact, the forums are very much what I want and that's good, because that is where I spend most of my lush time. Not a chatter.

I tried it. It does not work for me -- got everything you posted like a usual Quote. Chrome/Windows

As long as all you were doing was adding or correcting the series information and not making any other changes, the stories went right through on Lush v1. I always added a note just in case, but the vast majority right through without moderator intervention. I hope that doesn't change.

It's about 70/30 queue/sail through for me. Seems to be no particular rhyme or reason why. Three chapters of a story will need approval, then the fourth goes through. First chapter requires approval, second goes through, final two require approval. Then a whole 4 part series will go through, and every part of a 10 chapter story will need approval.

That's the same experience I had under the old system as well, so the ease of use and instant re-sorting is still a huge + for me.

It's going to take forever to finish linking everything up though. I wait at least a couple of hours after one's been approved before trying again, and the next one usually goes in the queue as well. Every once in a while I might have a run of luck and change 2-3 without waiting, but it's rare. Last one was just approved 10 minutes ago, so maybe I'll drop another right before I go to bed.

I have an unfounded suspicion it might be to do with tidying up spaces at the end of the piece. Maybe on resub, if it trims the whitespace as a service (or something) that triggers the "eeek, the story body is different" and diverts it to the queue instead of passing straight through. But if your story has none at the end, it bypasses it.

A total guess so I might be way off.

It works for me. No great breakthrough though. I used to do that anyway, easy, just quote and then delete the bits you don't want.

I quite like the fact that 'activity' shows you when people read your story. But from a reader perspective, that might be a bit creepy!

Testing automatic image linking, as announced in the recent update...

Most of these have been through the re-sub process once before for the same reason when previous/next links were introduced under 1.0. If it was that, I think they would have already had anything trimmed the first go-around.

Where do you see that? Or do you mean the people that have looked at you Profile page? That's all I see besides friend's status posts
