But I can break it down for those who need it.

This means that you should not criticize other people for qualities in their character that you have yourself.
Example: Telling someone to get off the internet and get a life, when they themselves are also on the internet.
As for the copyright, you should as a responsible poster, take a sec to see if the image you are posting is not copyrighted.
It's not Lushstories that would get grief for the post, it is indeed the responsibility of the poster. See below:

I'm proposing that we purge messages in your sent items after a set period (say 100 days). You can always move anything you want to keep to a folder to secure it.

Oh damn...I'm probably one of the biggest offenders...I keep most of my messages, and believe it or not, I actually refer back to things from time to time...
Most of my messages are writing related, and on occasion I do refer back to old discussions of story/poem ideas, etc...

A little off topic, but concerning copyright pictures, most pictures on the net are copyrighted and even though posting a pic is not actually breaking the laws unless it is stated, using unpaid and photoshopping images/brand items (even ones that do not have a copyright icon) on your own artwork/coverart and claiming it as your own, is just as bad, even worse - legally and morally. We should not come down heavy on one member when the forum is posted with hundreds of images with watermarks.
Sorry, but as a GA myself, I am a bit sensitive to people copy and pasting other peoples photos and artwork onto a background and say it is theirs
I would have appreciated a wee bit more notice, since I no longer visit Lush every day and didn't know this was happening until after it was done. As a former moderator, I had some sent messages I was saving as "official" Lush correspondence should any questions about them arise in the future. Oh well, c'est la vie, I suppose.

I am very sad to have lost all the messages I have sent . Many were to friends who have since left LushStories , but meant a lots to me at the time .
It would help if members were forewarned that after 100 days sent messages would be deleted , I would have put mine in a folder as suggested .
