Thank you.

May I .. newbie here. Looking at the model, third item from the bottom, 'Restrict who may contact you' ... available to Gold only. Is this the use of the hard block function please?

Could you also explain briefly what the 'Premium Story Library' is; I had that question twice yesterday and said ...

Newbie

If you look in your privacy settings, the current restriction options are shown in there: https://www.lushstories.com/membership/update-details.aspx?s=privacy

We may change / add to this, to allow greater flexibility.

The Premium Story Library, hasn't been activated yet, but here's a brief rundown.

It will contain stories which authors do not wish to make available to the general public. These will typically be meatier works, longer stories, or even complete ebooks.

How the idea came about, was that an author contacted me, saying she'd like to share her other stories, but not in a way that content thieves have easy access. She very kindly said she'd allow us to publish her works, to support the site, if they were behind a pay wall as it were. This means her work is more protected, and it adds to the draw of paid membership.

The library will grow over time. It will contain ebooks / longer stories, which we consider to be of a very high quality. Authors who contribute to the Premium Library, will of course get more exposure to their work, and it's likely that they will be more widely read as a result.
i also noticed we can no longer black box or poke anyone, whats going on?
I have had a message saying that I am unable to send messages, however I thought that as an existing member I got 6 months grace from these new rules?
What's up with this site? Hope to get answers
This is stupid, I cannot pay for a membership and have now just lost all my friends and have no way of contacting them
While the rising costs are a problem, I feel that us free members are losing way to much out of this. We've now reached a point to where without paying we simply can't talk to our already made FRIENDS. Hope we can at least keep PM free
Nicola,WHAT THE HELL ARE U DOING TO YOUR LOYAL MEMBERS

I agree with you kate! losing the BASIC features to talk to friends like PM is too much. Already in the chat rooms alot of people are leaving.
BOYCOTT LUSH UNTIL THINGS ARE RESTORED
i don't like this change
The truth is that running a large, popular website takes a lot of money; money that could once largely be recuperated through advertising revenue; that is no longer the case. Despite the option to purchase good or silver memberships in order to support the site, not that many people have done so.

It's basic business sense to realise that if you offer your product for free, most people won't pay anything towards it.

Can we really expect Nicola to fund our socialising and leisure facility out of her own pocket?

I think most of us understand this, however we would have liked a little more notice that ALL our privileges would be revoked at once. Losing all mediums of communication with people we've formed bonds with is pretty sad. Maybe removing one form of chat at a time might have been a little more reasonable. Particularly as Nicola's initial post indicated we would get 6 months to sort ourselves out.

How are you measuring your loyalty?

On the amount of times you've cum? The basic pleasure you've taken without giving anything in return.

I'm sure you'll be missed

This is what I was complaining about. I cannot contact my friends anymore. I understand the need to make more money to run the site. But EVERYONE leaving because they have just lost all their friends does not sound like a good business model to me.
Poor decision making. I recall a certain genre was also removed. Wonder if that had anything to do with a decline in traffic?

Fuck off prick, unless ure supporting what she's done, she needs to realize that not all of us have a credit card or PayPal and by doing this it's a cowardly and shit move to make without any kind of warning,so take your head out of your ass and shut the fuck up

Haha! Oh I SOOO agree with you on that! they talk about freedom and wanting to outlast other story sites, yet they do two things that any business person could say is a very..very bad idea.
I think lush is a great site, and like everything else in the world, cost money to run. I lose more than $10 a year, probably more than $100!! I'd go gold if I could afford to, but bronze or silver it is as soon as I can!
I certainly see how this can cost a lot of money to run and I don't mind paying my $10 to maintain the site. I do wish they would have given everyone a little more clear warning.

I paid my $10 but sadly I fear many of my friends may not and we will no longer be able to communicate.
They just rolled the site back!
Can we not find out among our so many members if anyone has ties within the advertising industry or a wealthy member/friend who would like to donate to for our site.
Wonder what they will do with those of us who paid right away ? Not that I want a refund but I'm curious. I bet some folks are going to want their money back.

Really everyone that enjoys this place should not feel bad about spending $10 a year.
