I agree with you kate! losing the BASIC features to talk to friends like PM is too much. Already in the chat rooms alot of people are leaving.

can she afford to have all the loyal members who've been here for years leaving the site in droves?i guess we're going to find out now, wont we?

Wonder what they will do with those of us who paid right away ? Not that I want a refund but I'm curious. I bet some folks are going to want their money back.
Really everyone that enjoys this place should not feel bad about spending $10 a year.

That's what all the sites do. It's just marketing. They try to get you hooked and once they have a lot of members they make you pay. Sorry not me

For those of you who are complaining about a measly $10, I suggested this a few months ago so you're lucky my idea was not taken onboard at the time or you might have been paying it sooner. $10? Look at all you are still going get for free or $10. It's those of us who have been donating to the site who have , up until now, been supporting your right to surf this website for free.
As far as any member who has donated previously to keep the site running asking for a refund, you gave that money of your own free will at the time.
The reason for the changes have just been explained to you so why would you try to turn this into something it's not by digging up previous changes to the site to suggest there is an ulterior motive for this change?
WHY would someone who built this site up from nothing risk losing the whole thing by asking for $10 but STILL providing the basics for what you come here for, for free.
Who/what will you be blaming if the whole site disappeared? You won't have a forum to whine on. Before you start complaining, imagine how much it's going to hurt if you have NO site where you could read erotic literature. For free. I'm just a regular member, the same as you are. I have no other reason to defend this decision than I don't want to see it disappear.

Lush has been here since 2006? and has always been free. which is probably the main reason it has 250,000 members.
wonder how many out of 250,000 are either deactivated , or not been active in over 6 mos/ 1 year's time.
But, 250,000 for a global site is hardly a lot of members. It's not even the size of a major city. Deleted by admin

I just want to say that I log on about every day. Yet I had no idea this was going on. I hope everyone else was apprised of this new policy or they will go along not knowing July 4th is a new day. Perhaps everyone could get a message in their inbox telling them to read the new site rules????
