the omni badge people are gonna send you hate mail, you know. lol other than that , let's see what kind of response this gets and maybe we'll talk about it.

The omnium and prolific writer badge holders didn't get them by not writing! I would suspect they would lapping at the opportunity to write another story!

obviously you haven't read the site suggestion thread lately...

I have Sprite. Their complaint really should be a complaint, at least in my opinion. Once you earn a badge meeting the qualifications in place at the time you earned it, you should keep it. Plain and simple. It would be like changing the famous story numbers from 30,000 to 100,000 stories. If the Lush leadership decided such a change is needed and would be appropriate, I would think it would only be fair to exisiting badge holders to keep it while putting in place the new standards for new badges. I have no doubt that Gav, if choose to do so, could write the program to ensue that link between badge requirements and badge awards apply only to badges pending. Once the badge is posted to the writer, there could be and should be no further link.

Thanks Sprite. I really am not trying to stir up the fires here. Just a humble suggestion.

Do many stories focus on breast manipulation enough to qualify for this category? Not questioning the suggestion, just wondering out loud. As a "boob man", I am quite certain that I would write for it at some point if it existed. Would lactation be included in this category, since that's a kink for some (been there, done that, wasn't that sexy even given that I am a boob man)?
So put me as a +1 and someone likely to write for the category, but I would want to see how it is defined.

Sorry to the OP to muscle in on your thread, but fortune favours the audacious.
I don't think there is any site that has this category. For anyone who knows me, it will be obvious what I would chose.
Strange Tales are stories that, while psychologically disturbing, cannot be classified as horror stories. They usually do not have the visceral shock factor of that genre. Neither are they fantasy, nor what has become "paranormal" — you know, teenage vampires, werewolves and their ilk. But what happens in such tales might be utterly fantastic. They are stories of subtle strangeness, everyday oddities that happen in the lives of ordinary people.
The poster boy of the genre is obviously Robert Aickman, though in recent years, with his growing following, many younger authors are exploring his his themes. Authors like the ones collected in this volume

So, please can we have a Strange Sex Stories category (pretty please?)

On the other matter, once you've earned the Omnium badge (under the qualifying conditions at the time), we've decided you should keep it. Gav has been asked to set it up this way. If it's not working, please let me / him know.

There isn't a bad sex category is there?
Like for stories about ED, no orgasm, dry chaffing, BO killing the mood, first time lasting 30 seconds, intimate burn from stubble, or when she calls her ex's name?
(I would have suggested Steampunk, but it's already there)

When did the strap-on sex category appear?

I'd never heard of Robert Aickman, though he sounds like a remarkable writer, and right up my alley (heh). I will read him.
And yes, Strange Sex Stories is a great idea for a category. It'd get me writing (and reading) again.

When did the strap-on sex category get added?
I only noticed it after I'd posted a story in Toys.
Isn't strap on part of the Toys section anyway?

Would Ping's latest comp story qualify as "Strange Sex"? Genuine question - I don't really understand the proposed category.
Quote by Verbal
I think anything Ping writes qualifies as strange. In a GOOD way, of course.
I'd define Strange Sex as strange but NOT fitting into an existing specific category (e.g. tentacles). Kind of a catch-all category. Like, a story about a Wendigo, an Native American mythological critter who is insatiably hungry, would be strange sex.

Would a wendigo not be supernatural, in the same way a banshee might be?
