I found this thread AFTER I wrote a note of appreciation to "The Boss" about how I was so PLEASANTLY treated when a written submission was "rejected". The reasons given were not as important to me as the obvious ''background" discussions several of you moderators had in reaching your decision. My feelings (positive) feelings for LUSH have strengthened over this rejection process rather than diminished. THANK YOU...to ALL...for your work and your caring attitude about an old man's scribblings trying to tell a funny story.
Rick....a.k.a. "Asleep"
sometimes when i read stories as a verifier, it makes me smile that someone's put so much work into crafting a piece of art. sometimes, though, i need a shower after, and there is puking (not an exageration). please don't be the person making me puke. we have site rules for a reason - we will NEVER publish certain things - read the site rules. they're not hard to find. if you can write in English, you can read English - there's no excuse.
You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.
I just found this thread and feel it should be a 'featured thread'! Not knowing of it's existence, I've written PM's on several occasions to moderators/verifiers who either acted much quicker than I expected, or left a comment on a story after it was published (When I actually should have personally thanked every moderator whenever they approved a story of mine. I've been here almost 2 years now, and one of my very first stories I ever submitted, the moderator actually went to the trouble of re-formatting the dialogue in my story. (had a story, but no idea how to write or format it). Being unaware of the 'protocol' on Lush, I erred by not thanking that moderator (for all I knew it was done by a program - but I know better now).
A sincere thank you to all the volunteers who take time out of their lives to make LushStories the great site it is. I'm so glad I found Lush and I've met some great friends and had a lot of fun! A special thanks to Nicola and Gav for all their hard work (and putting up with all of us!)
I'm still pretty new here, but from what I have seen so far, I definitely appreciate all the work and kindnesses of the mods.
I love the mods, they are wonderful and all should get presents.....
I've had the pleasure of getting to know a lot of the mods on here and care for a lot of them deeply. I have a great respect for all of them; it’s a lot of work to run this site. I wish to get to know them all at one point.
Thank you all for the hard work you do. The site runs beautifully. The mods are always on top of things here.
Cheers
Poppet
