no worries. i'll add an option in your settings to revert to the desktop theme.

I am very thankful for all the hard work you do for this site Gav.
However, I access Lush from my iPhone and am not really loving this. The old Desktop version would be very much appreciated ?
Please read my naughty new Micro.

Hi Gav,I would really appreciate if I got the old desktop version back! Thank you!
i'm not a big fan of change, usually, but after playing around with it for a little bit, i'm tending to like it - it DOES take a lot of getting used to, but yeah, figuring out where everything is now.

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

I found the previous version easy to use and had all I needed at my fingertips. The profile page was easy to use and navigate.
This one is a bit chunky and you need to be a jet pilot to navigate around it.
Change can be hard to adapt to at times -
I’ve just noticed the following icons missing from the top of the page:- home icon, own profile icon, ? Icon, search icon.
Is there any particular reason why these have been removed?
I can’t search for stories, Members or authors. No FAQ, No Contact us, No Lush contacts, No publishing advice.
The list of lost shortcuts on the own profile icon is as long as my arm. Most importantly, No settings = no way to change bio, no privacy, no Friends, No image gallery, No more options, so no updating details, can’t change avatar, can’t change password. No My stories.
Basically you’ve managed to remove just about everything we need to use our profiles on lush
Please, please, please, put it back the way it was. This is even worse than the constant disconnections we’ve had since Christmas and the bloody awful crashes we had all of last year. This certainly won’t help to keep existing members and new members will find it as clunky as others have already commented.
just spent some time in the chat rooms. sorry, it's a big no for me. the rooms are too long and condensed. i can't see who's in the room without specifically checking for it. when i do, it then shows a list of everyone who's entered the room, inside of the room, thus making me have to scroll farther up to see latest entries. overall, just too much scrolling and unnecessary clicking. much prefer the wider, at a glance view of the old desktop version.

Say. Her. Name.

Until gav gets the setting in there to default to the desktop theme, you can find all of that stuff by clicking the three horizontal lines in the upper right of the screen. That opens the menu, where you'll find everything. Some things aren't particularly intuitive ( "Account Settings" contains the profile, timeline, My stories, etc. as well as the link for your account settings ) but it's all there.

Just one problem with that RejectReality, I don’t have 3 lines to click on
My new page view, note no horizontal 3 lines at top right of page
Yes, but no horizontal lines like on yours.
I’m using an iPad
Update...if I hold my iPad in portrait mode I do get the 3 horizontal lines
That’s just weird and not acceptable, as I, like most people use my iPad in landscape mode

Okay, that's weird as hell. It's as if you've got some Frankenstein hybrid that looks like the desktop theme minus all the icons you need to access everything.

I thought maybe it was just the chat page, but I hit that to look, and my menu bar looks the same across every page on the site.

Try rotating your device 90 degrees and see if anything changes. I know it's hardly a good solution if it works, but as a stopgap until gav adds the setting for the desktop theme default, it could get you functionality.

Tried it and it works like that, thanx x

Good to know smile Responsive pages ( which Google is forcing down everyone's throats with their totalitarian control of search ) can be really wonky across various devices. It can take forever to get them calibrated to work properly in even the top 10 most used devices, let alone the multitude people are actually using.

That 90 degree flip trick is one that you'll want to keep in your back pocket any time a page is doing something new and annoying. It might just solve the problem — if imperfectly because it forces you to use the device in an orientation you're not used to or comfortable with.
These two images were taken in landscape mode.

Personally, I don't mind not knowing whose in room.

Edit:

This is how my profile(yours) should look in landscape mode too.

I'm truly loving the new look of it. Very crisp. I navigate the site well since I did my review of it as I use my Samsung Tablet(I pretty much bought my first Android device to use on lush--my APPLE device's kept being knocked off service)on portrait mode.

But if users want to have the option of seeing the site in desktop mode through their iPhone or other devices that are not an actual desktop computer or laptop, then I guess they should have that option.

Still love what Nic and Gav came up w/.

Great job you two.

Please go back to what we had! It dont work on my iPhone or iPad. So if this is what we have, I guess I wont be able to be here.

Update.. just seen gav say he can add an option to go back to the way it was!!! Yeah!!!!

There's no longer going to be a feed of latest forum topics at the top of the stories page? Forum participation is sure to plummet, particularly on the non-game threads.

To fully view all the categories on a profile page now takes about a dozen separate clicks AND a ton of scrolling. Who is going to bother with all of that? Everything used to be visible on one page at a glance with much less scrolling needed, since it was in two columns.

Where is the "online now" link we had before, to see all the members who are currently logged on and set to "Visible to All"?

The ONLY change that I've seen so far that I like is having the story categories hidden unless clicked upon.

I, also, will be reverting to the old desktop view if that's an option.
Never mind got my answer.

Please, when viewing profile, it is a pain in the ass. .... Too much scrolling and keystrokes to send a message to a friend. Also, a lot of wasted space.

Please can I go back to the previous profiles?
Simplicity - Please let me know if you find out how to go back to the way it was, I would love to.....
Okay, I went to the profiles of friends and clicked on their avatar and I see a selection, open chat, sent email etc. but nothing for online message without scrolling to the bottom which is extra time and strokes. Can that be over the Avatar also with the others? Or, please, I prefer the old format looking at everything on one screen;glimpse and choosing which you would like to see in more detail.

Thanks
I do not know how to contact you Gav, but I so appreciate you listening and trying to make us all happy and satisfied..... Thank you, kisses...
Not a big fan of change, especially when you get used to doing something without thinking too much about it. Creature of habit I guess. But in this always-changing world, anything stable makes life just a little bit easier.
