I've seen a Huntsman spider the size of a side plate once, it scared the heck out of me.

That's true DB. My hubs and I know several people that have been bit by them and it's always turned out nasty.
Husband got bit by a Chilean recluse spider several years ago. Gave us one hell of a scare for awhile. He was very sick.

This site would make such a great topic for a psychology paper on people talking in tangents. It all started with an innocent award and less than 30 posts later we are talking spiders. It is almost like, Oh look something shiny, what were we talking about again?
