I suggested the idea of using coins for a "private comp" type of thing (offering coins for stories on a theme the offerer is interested in) and Jen seemed good with it. If that's allowed, can't see why this would not be. That's back before coins were actually in circulation, during the leadup to deployment.

I see no problems using coins as you wish. Their your property. Anything different stinks of communism. Your property, your choice.

not saying this is the way to go, but i helped financing my toy by hooking (admittedly, it was more of an RP thing with my Mistress, but hey, it was money well earned, lol).

12 String? Wow. Can't play. Should be simple. Not for me. I used to have a dano Silvertone amp-in-case. Big mistake; Selling her to get the LP.

it was a gamble, sort of. I thought, hmmm... might be hard, might be easy. Thing is, the action on the 12 strings is so smooth that, for chords, it's actually easier (for me) to play. So i mostly use it when i'm playing psychedelic stuff with lots of chords and the strat is more for leads and weird stuff lol

The reason I ask is that I have seen on a few different occasions a member or two asking in the chatrooms for Lushcoins in exchange for a sexual performance.

"I can do roleplay, truth or dare, and cyber if you send me lush coins as tips."

Are members who have not published a story, who are not authors, on Lush allowed to solicit for Lushcoins in this manner; whether in the chatrooms or on their profile? A little clarification would be nice, in this matter.

as things stand yep. you can earn them or hand them out any way you wish. will that change? don't know. it's been under discussion since day one since, what they were originally intended for was a way to thank and encourage writers at a site whose very existence was based upon publishing erotic stories. all the other stuff was an afterthought to make the site more enjoyable for members. but yeah, Lush's primary function is it stories. at present, i think the bulk of coins are being given to people posting nudes or cybering and a lot of excellent writers are sitting on the sidelines without a single tip while people continue to enjoy their stories for free. personally, i think that's a bit sad, but that's just me and it is what it is.

Don't know about plans for the coins. I agree about the writers not being compensated. I have already said it would be nice if the site owners gave a few coins for new stories, or stories with a lot of reads/diff etc. The stories drive the site and put money in the owners pockets. That said, I believe if you have coins, you should be able to do what you want with them. Once bought or received, they belong to you. Just saying...
