when we first started doing this thing, i said we wouldn't do mods. well, someone recently pointed out that Gav is not really a mod - he's a tech monkey (which always makes me giggle a bit, picture him swinging around like a spider monkey in a storm trooper suit with a wrench inside a computer). and really, i can't think of anyone more deserving.

a few things about Gav that i want to share before i turn it over to the rest of you. he's not just a tech monkey, he's THE tech monkey and has been so from the very beginning. this site wouldn't exist without him. period. and every improvement, big or little, has his stamp on it.

a few other things. he's a sweetheart. he's sexy as hell. and he has a wicked sense of humor. really, one of the true good guys out there and one of my favorite people to send naked pix too (he doesn't get paid in cash - Nicola worked out a deal where he gets mod porn, not that most of us mind).

anyways, nothing i could post here could ever truly express how wonderful he is and how much i value his friendship, so i'll stop there and let the rest of you have a go.

To see Gav get this award has rather made my day. I often wonder just where he finds the time to maintain this site and introduce so many enhancements and new features... live cams just being the latest.

Rather an unsung hero until now.

Wow, I almost missed this. Tears of joy reading this thread, well deserve and rightfully so. This could not have went to a more deserving person. Gav is one of the most understanding, nicest and most beautiful people I know. He is always there for anyone. I know if I ever had a problem he was there. Gav deserves nothing but the highest respect. Gav you do a great job keeping this site running. Listening to all our complains, but I don’t think it ever goes without a thank you from anyone. You are truly loved by everyone at lush!

Fantabulous choice, Rach! CONGRATULATIONS, Gav!!

Gav should have gotten this award long ago! (long before ME anyway!!) He's the one genuinely indispensable man here, and he's gotten me out of a scrape or two over the years. Probably everybody here can say that Gav has helped them out with a glitch at one time or another as well.

So... KUDOS to the master coder! Truly a remarkable Lush asset.
