God, it's kinda surreal!

I never really know how I'm going to fare in these things so this is an awesome outcome for me. I mean, c'mon, I'm in the middle of Jake and Ashleigh. Does life really get any better?! Seriously though, a lot of the entries I read were really impressive. The top ten are all fantastic, and I'm so glad that MadMartigan slipped in. His story was mental in a kinda addictive way. Thank you to everyone who read, voted or commented on my entry - it's oversaid but you guys are the reason I write.

Congrats, all. Hardcore isn't always my cuppa so I largely steered clear of this comp but I'll likely circle back and read the winners at some point.

I didn't even plan to write anything. Or really want to enter at all. I've wanted to give myself more time to dedicate to my stories rather than operate under a deadline. Never mind the fact that as I was writing this story, I thought it'd be way too fucking wonky for pretty much everyone on here and that it'd just read like a confusing hot mess. (plus low confidence lately lol)


Just glad my usual people liked it. And I even managed to finagle another follower out of it. So I guess it wasn't too bad.


It was actually quite good. So stop pouting. I am a new follower too. Gezzz these authors have fragile egos.
